Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's greatest attractions. This is a unique place where you can admire over 1000 elephants - the largest population of these animals in all of Africa. This is where the famous researcher Cynthia Moss works, who has been analyzing and documenting the lives of these beautiful animals for years. Much of Amboseli National Park is located where a Pleistocene lake once existed. Today, in the middle of the area there are sources of drinking water, around which green areas inhabited by all animals associated with the African savannah have developed. It is here, specifically in the Kitirua private reserve bordering the park, that the luxurious Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli hotel is located.

The terraced Tortilis Camp Amboseli offers a beautiful view of the Kilimanjaro massif. The name of the camp refers to the flat top of the acacia tree crown, creating a shade-producing canopy. Guests live in spacious tents with large verandas. The facility was one of the first to care for nature in the region. It is 100% solar powered.

Moreover, most of the hotel's staff comes from local communities, and thus contributes to the sustainable development of the communities living in the region. Thanks to this, guests can also use the services provided by guides from the Maasai tribe and learn about the interesting culture of this people. For example, there will be an opportunity to see a traditional manyatta, i.e. a Masai household. During a meeting with the Masai, the youngest can learn how to make a fire, use a rungu stick or create beautiful handicrafts. It is worth mentioning that Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli is a great idea for a holiday with children in Kenya. It offers special tent apartments for families. Additionally, walking tours are organized for young travelers, during which they will be able to learn about the flora and fauna of the area.
