Trip plan:
Upon arrival at Yangon Airport, guests will be greeted by a local representative of our exclusive travel agency and transferred to the hotel. The tour of the former capital of Burma will begin with a visit to the Sule Pagoda. Then, guests will see the figure of the reclining Buddha in the Chaukhtatgyi temple and the beautiful barge Karaweik Hall on Lake Kandawgyi. Guests will also visit the Bogyoke Market. The tour will culminate with a visit to the magnificent large Shwedagon Pagoda, made of pure gold. Accommodation at the 4-star luxury Sule Shangri-La or a similar hotel in Yangon.
After breakfast, guests will depart for Bago, where they will visit the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, and then continue to the town of Kin Pun, home to one of the most famous religious structures in Burma, the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. It is situated on a huge boulder covered with gold flakes and placed on the edge of a cliff. There are amazing views from here, especially at sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the 2-star Mountain Top Hotel or Golden Rock Hotel.
Today, the guests will go back to Rangoon, during which they will stop in Bago. Here you can see, among others: A 55-meter-high figure of the reclining Buddha Shwe Tha Lyaung and 4 huge Buddha statues in the Kyaik Pun Pagoda. On the way to Yangon, guests will also visit a war cemetery near Htauk Kyan. Upon arrival in Yangon, they will be accommodated in the 4-star Sule Shangri-La Hotel or another luxury hotel of a similar standard.
After breakfast, guests will be transferred to the airport for their flight to Mandalay and then take a scenic drive to Pyin Oo Lwin. After lunch at a local restaurant, guests will visit Peik Khyin Myaung Caves and Pwe Kyuak Waterfall. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Aureum Palace Resort @ The Governor's House or another hotel of similar standard in Pyin Oo Lwin.
Before returning to Mandalay, guests will visit a local market. In Mandalay, a city tour will begin after lunch. The program includes, among others: Shweinbin Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda, and Mahamuni Pagoda. Guests will admire the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Dinner and overnight stay at the 4-star Mandalay Hill Resort Hotel or another luxury hotel of a similar standard.
In the morning, guests will go on a picturesque cruise on the Irrawaddy River. Once they reach Mingwan, they will see the world's largest bell and then the Pathodawgyi Pagoda, which was never completed. Guests will return to Mandalay after lunch. Free time. Dinner and overnight stay in Mandalay.
After breakfast, guests will go to Amarpura, where they will visit the Mahagandayon Monastery, where over 1000 monks live and study in complete silence. Guests will then see the world's longest teak bridge, U Bein. They will also go to a traditional workshop where hand-woven silk is made. The next point of visit will be Bagaya Monastery, where there are many exquisite sculptures depicting Buddha. After lunch, guests will take a short cruise to Inwa, the former capital of the Kingdom of Ava. There they will visit the Nanmyin Observation Tower, also known as the Leaning Tower of Ava, the Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery, and the Bargayar Monastery, famous for its richly decorated carvings and teak poles. Return to Mandalay for dinner and overnight stay.
Early in the morning, guests will board a ferry and cross the Irrawaddy River to Pagan. Upon arrival they will be accommodated in a hotel. Overnight and dinner at the 3-star Myanmar Treasure Resort or another of a similar standard.
Today, guests will visit the most important pagodas and temples in Pagan, such as Shwezigon, Ku Byauk Gyi, Shwe Gu Gyi and Ananda. After lunch, guests will go to the workshop where lacquer is made. They will then visit the Manuha and Nanbaya temples and the Bupaya Pagoda, from where they will be able to admire a spectacular sunset over the famous Irrawaddy River. Dinner will be served in a restaurant by the river. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, guests will visit other temples located in the area: Tayokepyay in Min Nan Thu, Phaya Thone Zu and Nandamanaya. They will also visit the Kyat Kan Monastery, located in caves, which is an ideal place for meditation. After lunch, guests will go for a ride in a colorfully decorated traditional bullock cart. Dinner and overnight stay in Pagan.
After breakfast, guests will depart for Kalaw. On the way, they will visit the extinct Puppa volcano, which offers wonderful views. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant along the way. In the evening, guests will reach the mountain town of Kalaw, in the heart of which there is a bustling market. Dinner and overnight stay at the 2-star Pine Hill Resort hotel or another hotel of a similar standard.
Today, guests will visit caves in Pindaya. There are thousands of Buddha figurines here, brought for centuries by pilgrims from all over the world. After lunch, guests will travel to Nyaung Shwe, from where they will take a boat to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the 2-star Amata Garden Resort hotel or another hotel of a similar standard on Lake Inle.
Today, guests will discover the charms of Lake Inle, where you can admire, among others: traditional fishing boats or typical floating gardens. They will also visit the Phaungda Pagoda in Oo, the Nga Phe Monastery and the village of Inpawkhon, famous for its weaving products. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, guests will go to the western shore of Inle Lake, from where they will walk to the Indein Pagoda. The complex consists of hundreds of small stupas covered with moss. They will then walk along babbling streams and through rice fields to the village of Sae Ma, where they will experience a typical school day at the local primary school. Lunch will be served in a traditional house in the village of Tha Le, famous for its weaving. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy home-cooked meals just like local residents do - sitting on the floor at a low table. In the afternoon, they will visit one of the monasteries to see what the life of its members is like. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, guests will be checked out of the hotel and transfer by boat to Nyaung Shwe for transfer to Heho Airport. After arriving in Rangoon, they will also visit the Kaba Aye Pagoda and the oldest temple in the city, Botataung. Transfer to the airport and back home.
