Two hotels located in the Kathmandu Valley, in central Nepal, for years recognized as one of the best in the country. The first owner, Dwarika Das Shrestha, opened the first facility in 1977. The Dwarika hotel in Kathmandu received a UNESCO award for the protection of culture and national heritage, all thanks to the style in which it was designed. Namely, it was built from several traditional Nepalese houses, which were partially dismantled by carpenters and transformed into elements from which the hotel was built. The decor of both hotels refers to the Hindu and Buddhist roots of Nepal. The decorations are made of wood and terracotta. Dwarika in Kathmandu is located just a few kilometers from Durbar Square, the square in front of the royal palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In turn, Dwarika Resort in Dhulikhel was built on a hill from which you can admire the panorama of the Himalayas, for example by swimming in the infinity pool. Dwarika in Dhulikhel also has a helipad, an ideal facility if one would like to combine a hotel stay with a scenic flight over the Himalayas. The idea of both hotels is to maintain harmony between the body, mind, spirit and earth, which is achieved by combining Buddhist natural medicine, wisdom contained in Hindu holy scriptures with knowledge passed down from generation to generation by the inhabitants of the Himalayas.
