Among them, a 7,6-meter-high stone pillar considered the largest in the world. Seoongeup is an ancient village where you can learn about the history and culture of Jeju Island. It is a place of simple houses made of thatch and rock and iconic stone statues. Another tourist attraction is Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, where the water seems to fall straight from the sky. The forested area around the waterfall is home to wild damson trees, Chinese lemon trees, and camellias.

The most characteristic point of the landscape there is the Halla-san shield volcano, which is also the highest peak in South Korea.
