The luxurious Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train is a work of art itself - an Art Deco icon famous all over the world. This is where the action of the cult novel "Murder on the Orient Express" was set by Agatha Christie. In 2015, it received an award as the Best Orient Express Train at the Readers' Conde Nast Traveler Awards. Romance, adventure and mystery are part of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Expres journey on this extraordinary train. Few trains survive from the days when train travel meant elegance and luxury. And no other train is as beautifully maintained as the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a worthy heir to the "Orient Express" legend.

Travel, journeys and excursions on luxury trains in England are also enjoying increasing popularity, but the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express remains unrivaled in terms of class, history and detail.

Lunch, dinner and brunch are served in one of three individually decorated dining cars: Cote d'Azur, Etoile du Nord and L'Oriental. Breakfast and afternoon snacks are served to passengers in their own compartments.

Types of compartments (all equipped with a dressing table with hot and cold water, towels, soap, etc.):

  • 3 compartments of the Grand Suite with a double bed and a private bathroom with a shower (and additional services such as an a'la carte menu and unlimited supply of champagne);
  • 5 Single Cabin compartments with a single bed;
  • 83 Twin Cabin compartments with two beds one above the other. These compartments can be combined to create a Cabin Suite.

During the day, each Twin compartment is configured by stewards as a living room with a sofa, footstool, small table and a cupboard with a sink with hot and cold water. At night it becomes a cozy bedroom with an upper and lower bed, soft towels and fresh bed linen. The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train provides bathrobes, slippers and luxurious Temple Spa toiletries.

Each carriage has a toilet finished with mosaics.
