The Burtigarden farm in Alstad in the Valldalen valley is a truly magical place where you can find peace among birches, aspen trees, pines and ancient boulders. It is one of the oldest farms in the commune. Juvet Landscape Hotel offers the opportunity to see the UNESCO-listed fjords of western Norway, and nearby is Gudbrandsjuvet - the famous gorge of the Valldøla River flowing through a narrow gorge. Ski fans can enjoy both gentle and extremely demanding slopes, for example in the famous Stranda resort or in the valleys stretching towards the Troll Road.

There are also organized trips to the area of the Hjørundfjorden, from where you can admire the peaks of Slogen, Råna, Kolåstinden, Randers and Skårasalen, and architecture lovers should visit the historic town of Ålesund with its beautiful buildings in the Art Nouveau style. It is worth renting a kayak and sailing on the lake with views of the fjords. In summer, you can also go hiking, e.g. to the village of Fjørå, offering breathtaking views, or to the mountains near the Troll Road. The luxurious Juvet Landscape Hotel impresses with its modern architecture that perfectly blends into the surrounding landscape. The company Jensen & Skodvin was responsible for the design and made sure that the hotel did not adversely affect the natural scenery, but coexisted with it. Each room in the property is different and all unique. You can also live in old farm buildings. 7 of them have the shape of cubes built on stilts with at least one glass wall, and 2 rooms resembling log houses are decorated in a minimalist style. Meals are served in a former barn. Specialties such as lightly smoked whale meat or gravlax (raw salmon) are served as starters, and as main courses - venison, wild salmon, reindeer or Atlantic cod. The luxurious spa impresses with its glass facade, through which you can admire the river flowing below.
