Isla Palenque is located on a private, 400-acre island in the Gulf of Chiriquí, off the western Pacific coast of Panama. This intimate resort is surrounded by tropical forest, seven secluded beaches, and the waters of a region known for its coral reefs, uninhabited islands, and abundant marine life. Access is typically via Tocumen Airport in Panama City, followed by a flight to David, transfer to the Boca Chica port, and a short, approximately 15-minute boat ride to the island.
Guests can stay in one of just eight Beachfront Casitas located on Playa Palenque, with a private path leading directly to the beach. Each casita is a tropical, comfortable bungalow with air conditioning, a king-size bed, a private garden, a lounge area, an open-plan bathroom, and amenities such as a minibar, Wi-Fi, binoculars, nature guides, and a yoga mat. Also available for families or groups is the Beachfront Villa Estate, a private villa with six rooms, sleeping 2-14 people.
The culinary heart of the resort is Las Rocas Restaurant & Bar, located on Playa Palenque, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The cuisine is based on local, seasonal ingredients, produce from the resort's own organic farm, responsibly sourced fish and seafood, and Panamanian culinary traditions. Guests can enjoy three à la carte meals daily, along with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, a children's menu, and food allergy-friendly options.
The resort is centered around Playa Palenque – the largest beach on the island, stretching for approximately 1,3 km.

Isla Palenque offers activities connected to nature and the ocean: guided rainforest hikes, exploring the island's history, island-hopping, snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and wildlife viewing. The resort is located near Chiriquí National Marine Park, allowing for island-hopping, coral reef exploration, and swimming in calm waters. From August to October, you can also observe humpback whales during their seasonal migration in the Gulf of Chiriquí.
The wellness area at Isla Palenque has a natural, intimate feel. The resort offers relaxing massages and deep tissue massages, with the option of adding facials. Treatments can be performed in the privacy of your room or in an open space, surrounded by nature and the sounds of the ocean.
