Holidays in Jordan

Do you dream of a desert adventure in the Middle East straight from the Arabian Nights and a luxurious holiday? We invite you to the Kingdom of Jordan - a land steeped in history, full of impressive ancient buildings, amazing landscapes and attractive recreational opportunities.

Jordan, a country located in the fertile crescent, has been the main stage of history for centuries. The area was under the rule of many peoples, tribes and empires. Many outstanding buildings have been preserved here to this day, such as the ruins of the city of Petra, included in the list of new wonders of the world, and numerous Roman buildings, including: the amphitheater and citadel in Amman or places of worship related to Christianity and other monotheistic religions. However, Jordan is not only history and culture, it is also beautiful landscapes and nature. The main attractions include the salty Dead Sea, the biodiversity-rich Dana Biosphere Reserve on the UNESCO list, and the Roman Valley, or Wadi Rum, famous from the movies. Many films were shot in the latter place, including: The Martian or Lawrence of Arabia, on the set of which the then king of the Kingdom of Jordan met his wife.

In addition to historical and natural attractions, Jordan has to offer interesting places to relax. This will include, among others: the Dead Sea mentioned in the previous paragraph, where five-star hotels are located, including: Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea Hotel, as well as the city of Aqaba located on the Red Sea and its hotels - the Luxury Collection Hotel Al Manara and the Kempinski Dead Sea Hotel with a private beach.

Jordan is a perfect choice for history lovers, enthusiasts of Middle Eastern cuisine, tourists looking for adventure, as well as those seeking relaxation and the best spa treatments.

What is worth visiting in Jordan?

When planning a trip to Jordan, it is worth considering which travel concept appeals to you the most. As we well know, this destination is a paradise for travelers looking for views and landscapes, monuments and history, as well as blissful relaxation. We can easily create and diversify 7, 10 or even 14-day programs. The proximity to Israel means that this time can be effectively extended.

The main attractions of the country include Amman - the largest city in the country, where, in addition to attractions dating back to ancient times and Roman rule, we can find luxury shopping malls, top hotels (including Four Seasons and Hotel W) and vibrant shopping districts, full of Middle Eastern varieties.

Amman is a good base for trips outside the city. An interesting destination is the town of Jerash, located several dozen kilometers to the north, where there are well-preserved remains of a Roman city. The entire complex is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. On site you will find, among others: The Oval Forum, the remains of the hippodrome, the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Artmis - the patron saint of the city, the Roman Theater with 5000 seats and the monumental South Gate. Near Jerash there is the town of Aljoun, famous for its charming castle located on the top of a hill. It was once one of the defensive castles stretching around the holy land, now one of the main photo scenes for newlyweds and film productions.

An hour south of Amman we will find the beautiful town of Madaba. In addition to interesting architecture and atmospheric streets full of stalls, you can find monuments that are over 1500 years old. The main ones include the Greek Orthodox Basilica under the patronage of Saint George, where on the floor you can find the famous floor mosaic, the so-called Map from Madaba. The mosaic is the oldest cartographic representation of the Holy Land, including Jerusalem. A dozen or so kilometers from Madaba there is the biblical Mount Nebo, from which Moses saw the Holy Land. Currently, there is a church there, which was the destination of a pilgrimage, among others. John Paul II. There is also a view of the Dead Sea from the top.

Driving towards the Dead Sea along the way, we suggest visiting the baptism site of Jesus Christ, located on the bank of the Jordan River.

The Dead Sea region is not only a place of worship for Christians, Jews and Muslims, it is also a treat for nature enthusiasts, you will find there, among others: hot springs in Ma'in, good for trekking and climbing, canyons and valleys, among others. Wadi Mujib or finally the salty sea. Who among us wouldn't like to bathe in the Dead Sea at least once?

Right on the coast of the Dead Sea, on the Jordanian side, there are five-star hotels of well-known foreign chains. We will find there, among others: Kempiński hotel.

Leaving the coastal region, we recommend going deeper into the country. The first attraction may be the Crusader castle located in Al Karak. This quite well-preserved building allows you to feel the atmosphere of the Crusades. The road from Al Karak to the next attraction leads through diverse areas of Jordan. In addition to agricultural areas, you can see picturesque landscapes of desert and mountainous areas.

The main attraction of Jordan is, without a doubt, Petra, located in the rocky valley. This rock-carved city is considered one of the new seven wonders of the world. On site you will find, among others: numerous tombs, a monastery, a theater and a princess's palace. The entire complex of buildings can be reached via one As-Sik gorge.

Another showcase of Jordan is the Roman Valley, or Wadi Rum. This amazing, almost endless red desert allows you to get closer to nature and get to know the culture and customs of the local nomads - the Bedouins. On offer Carter there are luxurious yurts located in the heart of the valley. During your stay, you can experience 4×4 car rides, trekking and climbing, dinner with a view of the clear sky full of stars and typical Bedouin delicacies.

Those who want to combine a trip to Jordan with Israel or are looking for a holiday by the sea are also welcome to Aqaba - a city located right next to the border with Israel and on the coast of the Red Sea.

Aqaba is a city and a summer resort, where there are famous hotels of luxury chains, including: Hotel Kempinski or the Luxury Collection hotel Al Manara. A stay in one of them is not only the highest level of relaxation, but also the opportunity to take advantage of numerous water attractions - diving or snorkeling.
