Wilderness Safaris Mombo Camp

Wilderness Safaris Mombo Camp is an excellent choice for safari enthusiasts planning a trip to the Okavango Delta and the northern tip of Chief's Island in the Moremi Reserve. This area is dominated by the so-called mopane forests, interspersed with strips of Kalahari desert sand and acacia trees. On the shores of the island there are flood terraces that appear periodically. The area around the camp is known for its abundance of game and predators such as lion, spotted croquettes and leopards. You can admire them while staying in luxurious tents located on wooden platforms. They are also equipped with spacious terraces with a beautiful view, and in your free time you can relax in a private swimming pool. The surroundings are inhabited by giraffes, zebras, warthogs, moor kobs, wildebeests, kudus, elephants, buffalos and impalas. This is possible thanks to luxurious safaris organized during the day in comfortable 4×4 jeeps that can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. As the region is also inhabited by white and black rhinos, lectures and presentations are organized on actions taken to protect these mammals. The Delta is the place where the rhino was first reintroduced, so some people are lucky enough to see it. Ornithology enthusiasts will appreciate the fact that there is an IBA Bird Area in the area. For an additional fee, you can take a bird's eye view of the entire ecosystem during helicopter tours.
