Zarafa Dhow Suite

Zarafa Dhow Suite is one of the most luxurious lodges in Botswana. It delights with its location in the Selinda private reserve in Botswana, with an area of ​​approx. 130 mXNUMX. ha. You can see the most famous African animals here - giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, herds of elephants, as well as predators such as lions, leopards and deer. During their stay, guests have the opportunity to participate in day and night expeditions to experience the beauty of the Okavango Delta ecosystem.

While holidaying in the Zarafa Dhow Suite, guests can also visit the village of Eretsha. The luxurious Life with Elephants tour will allow you to learn about the everyday life of local people who have learned to coexist with the local environment. They mostly belong to the Hambukushu tribe, whose main occupation is fishing using woven baskets, farming and cattle breeding. Guests will visit traditional farms and talk about coexistence with herds of elephants, which regularly roam the Okavango Delta during the dry season, coming into direct contact with the population.

The word "zarafa" means "beloved" in Arabic. The name refers to the gift of the Khedive of Egypt to the French King Charles X in 1826, which was a giraffe. She traveled from Africa to France on a traditional Arab dhow, which the creators of the Zarafa Dhow Suite considered an event worth commemorating.

The apartment is a short walk from the luxurious Zarafa Camp. It is located in a secluded place on the shore of the Zibadianja lagoon, which can be admired from the extensive indoor relaxation area and large terrace. The apartment consists of two rooms. Both are equipped with elegant copper bathtubs.

Zarafa Dhow Suite guests enjoy a range of private facilities. Their comfort is supervised by a private waiter and chef, and they have a separate safari vehicle and their own guide at their disposal.

Like the neighboring luxury Zarafa Camp, the Zarafa Dhow Suite is characterized by infrastructure made of local wood and recycled canvases, and electricity is ecologically obtained from solar energy, so that the facility's impact on the ecosystem is as low as possible.
