Giraffe Manor

Giraffe Manor is an exclusive boutique hotel belonging to The Safari Collection. Located on the outskirts of Nairobi, surrounded by a vast forest, it gives a feeling of respite and relaxation. This historic manor house has a unique charm reminiscent of the 1930s. It is the most famous and photographed hotel in Africa. Who doesn't know the photos of Rothschild's giraffes sticking their long necks through windows waiting for treats? Guests like to spend lazy time on the terrace or in the garden in the company of walking giraffes. You can feel like in the movie "Out of Africa" ​​based on the novel by Karen Blixen. Even one of the apartments is named after her.

The original manor house was built in 1932 and has 6 apartments: Daisy, Betty, Jock, Marlon and Karen Blixen. The owners of this property decorated the interior referring to the character of the 30s. Art Deco bathroom and antique furniture fully reflect the spirit of those times. In 2011, the second Garden Manor building was built, which is a replica of the original one using materials and furniture from that era. It also has 6 apartments overlooking the garden where giraffes roam.

This giraffe hotel not only provides an amazing adventure of close interaction with these phenomenal animals, but also spreads knowledge about this particular genus.
