Saruni Rhino

Saruni Rhino is located in the still undiscovered northern reaches of Kenya. It offers only 3 banda rooms (rustic, stone houses) with wonderful sandy terraces overlooking the dry riverbed. Breakfasts are served along this trough and dinners are served under the starry African sky. The main attraction is a walking safari, during which guests will track the black rhinoceros (a critically endangered species) with the help of an experienced guide and trained reserve guards equipped with transmitters informing about the location of 13 rhinos. During the safari, guests can also observe, among others: buffalos, elephants, long-necked gerenuks, reticulated giraffes and striped zebras. The property also offers a beautiful infinity pool that blends harmoniously with the beauty of the surrounding nature. Just a few meters away is a waterhole that is regularly visited by herds of elephants, impala, birds and other wild animals. The place known as Kisima Hamsini (50 Wells) is also worth seeing, as it is where local herders bring their cattle to water, singing ancient songs. Also nearby is Namunyak Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can visit Kenya's Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. It specializes in caring for orphaned and abandoned elephant calves. Guests can see how professionals prepare them to rejoin the herd. However, the trip must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. It is also subject to an additional fee. Activities of all types are perfectly organized thanks to amazing guides and trackers who belong to the Samburu community and therefore know every corner of the visited area. They are also happy to share their experience and wisdom related to wild nature.
