What to see in Cape Town?

Cape Town's fascinating mosaic of cultures is worth starting with V&A Waterfornt, i.e. the Victoria and Albert Waterfront. It is a district full of elegant restaurants and shops, and the charm is added by the proximity of Table Mountain, which can be seen from almost every place on the Waterfront. There are many luxury hotels in this place, including: The Silo, which belongs to The Royal Portfolio, was built in the building of a historic grain silo, above the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art. It is characterized by glass windows that shine from a distance like a beautiful diamond - it is a quite unusual building combining elements of art and architecture. The hotel offers luxurious rooms with wonderful views of Cape Town and Table Mountain - their modern, industrial interiors will certainly meet the expectations of even the most demanding guests.

Table Mountain – one of the Seven Wonders of Nature.

Then it's worth going to Table Mountain. After a 5-minute ride in a cart slowly rotating around its axis, you reach the very top. From the top there is a breathtaking view of the city and the surrounding area. Table Mountain is the most visited site of all the New 7 Wonders of Nature and is the only one of the featured natural wonders located at the foot of the city.

Colorful houses of Bo-Kaap

The next characteristic place is the colorful one Bo-Kaap district. The winding streets lead among restored and painted houses from the early 18th and 19th centuries, which once housed a prison, stables and barracks. Muslim workers and imams from Indonesia settled here, and their cultural distinctiveness has been preserved to this day. Additionally, in January, the famous carnival takes place here, which is an additional attraction.

Right next to it are the famous ones Company Gardens, which from the mid-17th century were a place of production of fresh fruit for local residents and supplemented sea ships with food. Currently, the park houses the Parliament, the National Gallery and St. George's Cathedral.

For flora enthusiasts, beautiful places are a must-see Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, which are considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Although the garden was founded in the early 20th century, there are plants that were planted in the mid-17th century.

Cape of Good Hope, whales, penguins and seals

Cape National Park is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf Fals Bay, ends with the Cape of Good Hope. Between steep passes there are countless charming bays, fishing villages and beautiful sandy beaches. One of the most spectacular roads in the world leads here - Chapmans Peak. Driving south around Noordhoek, Kommetjie and Scarborough, whale sightings are possible from June to November. You can reach the top on foot or by cable car Cape of Good Hope lighthouse, from where there is a magical view of False Bay.

Driving a few kilometers from Simon's Twon, you can reach the beach Boulders beach, where the colony is a special attraction Cape penguins. A little further between Kalk Bay and Muizenberg there is a small island called Seal Island, where a colony of seals numbering about 50 lives. The ideal option to see these animals up close is a cruise around this small island, which actually culminates the entire day of the trip to the end of the world.

After returning to Cape Town, we recommend a walk to the Waterfront to once again look at Cape Town surrounded by city lights during a romantic dinner with a glass of wine from the local vineyards.
