Golf Safari in South Africa and Eswatini in 10 days

Together with the Travel Agency CARTER embark on an adventurous ten-day golf safari on the luxurious Rovos Rail train. The safari is suitable for both experienced golfers and less advanced players. It is also a great adventure for those of you who have nothing to do with this sport, because all the places that the exclusive African Rovos Rail will pass along the way are intended for non-golfers.

The extraordinary journey begins in Pretoria, leads east to the Kruger Park, then continues through Eswatini, and soon finds itself back in South Africa. In addition to the above-mentioned points, you will also visit Durban - the third largest city in South Africa. One of the most important golf tournaments in the entire country also takes place here - we cordially invite you to take part in it!

You'll also traverse the Valley of a Thousand Hills to Spionkop Lodge, an ideal base from which to explore the mountains, bush, birds and battlefields of the region. You will continue to Port Elizabeth and then on to Oudtshoorn to visit an ostrich farm. The next stop will be the impressive trail through the Outeniqua Mountains to George. After visiting the natural paradise of Knysna, the train travels along the spectacular Garden Route to the vineyards and mountains of the Cape, before the wonderful tour ends in Cape Town.

Each train has accommodation cars, dining cars, a lounge car (approx. 26 seats), a small souvenir shop, a smoking lounge (approx. 11 seats) and an observation car (approx. 32 seats) with a balcony. There are three types of apartments on the train, equipped with single or double beds and the highest standard amenities. All apartments have bathrooms with shower, toilet, sink and bathtub (except the Royal apartment), safe, air conditioning. There is also adequate storage space for personal items and small cabinets with hangers and shelves.
