One&Only Gorilla's Nest

One&Only Gorilla's Nest is a luxurious hotel located at the foot of the majestic slopes of the Virunga Mountains in the Volcanoes National Park - the greatest attraction of Rwanda. At the same time, it is located relatively close, only 120 km from the capital of the country, Kigali. This is one of the best and most luxurious hotels if you are planning an exclusive holiday in Rwanda. Its location allows you to explore the areas around five of the eight volcanoes of the nearby mountain range. The area is famous for its impenetrable rainforests and bamboo forests.

What attracts travelers to One&Only Gorilla's Nest is the opportunity to closely encounter endangered species, primarily mountain gorillas - an endemic species that lives only in this part of the world. During trekking around the Volcanoes National Park, which can last up to several hours (the routes are adapted to the expectations and abilities of the guests), you can also see joyful golden monkeys (Cercopithecus kandti) and various birds.

A trip to Rwanda would not be complete without climbing the mentioned volcanoes. Such an expedition allows you to fully immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the rainforest and admire the magical landscapes. On the slopes of the mountains, you can meet the inhabitants of villages who will be happy to reveal to travelers the secrets of their culture, cuisine and everyday aspects of life in the shadow of volcanoes. There will be time to listen to traditional Rwandan stories and songs, accompanied by rhythmic drumming and dancing around the bonfire.

After returning from exciting trips to Volcanoes National Park, guests can relax in the comfort of their cottages, which are surrounded by a eucalyptus forest. The One&Only Gorilla's Nest restaurant serves delicious Rwandan cuisine made from vegetables and herbs grown in the hotel's gardens. Soothing your soul and body is possible in the spa, which offers a wide range of treatments using African traditions.
