Time+Tide Chinzombo

CARTER invites you to stylish and luxurious villas in the Chinzombo camp, which are an excellent choice for guests looking for an exclusive safari offer in Zambia. Originally, in the 70s, during the green season, this camp was the base of Norman Carr, a famous conservationist who participated in the creation of national parks in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Currently, it is a facility open all year round, the villas of which are located on a private property covering approximately 24 hectares on a bend of the Luangwa River and blend beautifully with the surrounding wildlife. The villas were designed by award-winning architects, Silvio Recha and Lesley Carstens. In 2014 and 2015, the camp won the Best New Property in Africa award. Their terraces offer wonderful views of the nearby river and the lush flora and fauna present on its banks (e.g. you can watch elephants coming to drink). The villas are a real oasis of relaxation, set under shade trees and equipped with private plunge pools. In addition, you can spend the night under the starry African sky. 5 villas have double or single beds. One of them is intended for families and has 2 bedrooms. The sleeping areas are cooled. There is internet access in the camp, but its speed may be limited due to the conditions in the area. Meals are served in common dining areas, creating an atmosphere conducive to sharing stories about the day's adventures. The camp team will be happy to guide guests around the areas of the national park inhabited by wild animals, so that they can observe predators in action, including the rare leopard. Safaris take place both during the day and at night. In addition to tours, bush walks and boat trips are also organized (seasonally). After a luxurious safari, you can relax during spa treatments, arranged at the guests' request in their comfortable villas.
