Chisa Busanga Camp by Green Safari

Chisa Busanga Camp is a phenomenon that is hard to match. The camp is located far from civilization, and by going on a dream vacation to Zambia, guests can explore the delicate ecosystem of the Busanga Plain, which is located in the northern part of Kafue National Park.

But what awaits guests during their holiday in Zambia on the Busanga Plain? What distinguishes the Busanga Plain from other regions is that it does not contain the typical grassy savannahs, but rather swampy plant formations known as "dambo". Kafue National Park, located in the western part of Zambia, is home to the endangered wreaths and coral cranes. The specific climate attracts antelopes, zebras, hippos, buffaloes, swamp kobs, elephants, cheetahs and herds of lions. During safari trips, guests can observe animals in an environment untouched by mass tourism. You can explore the quiet and peaceful surroundings not only in electric cars, but also on foot or by bike in the company of experienced guides. It will be a great opportunity to see at least some of the 470 species of birds living in the region with binoculars.

Chisa Busanga Camp is an environmentally friendly facility. All electricity, including that needed to power cars, is obtained from photovoltaic panels. What distinguishes this camp is its unique form of accommodation. The name of the camp contains the word "chisa", which means "bird's nest" in the Chewa language. And in fact, guests live in houses built on stilts, which visually resemble nests suspended between tree crowns at a height of 4 meters. Their design refers to the nests of weavers - birds found in the region. The front of each cottage is open, so you can observe life on the Busanga Plain at any time of the day or night. There is a chance that in the morning guests will be woken up by the sounds of elephants walking through the morning fog! Each nest has a terrace where you can enjoy your meals. Therefore, Chisa Busanga Camp is not only an excellent choice for a holiday in Zambia, but above all, a great option for newlyweds planning a honeymoon. In the evenings you can meet around a bonfire in a traditional African Boma and exchange experiences with other travelers.
