Exclusive Zimbabwe safari

Unusual, teeming with life, screaming with the voices of birds under the inky black starry sky, Africa calls adventure lovers to meetings with elephants, giraffes and the unknown history of the Dark Continent. Guests have a unique opportunity to experience this uniqueness from the most exclusive camps and hunting lodges during an 11-day safari in Zimbabwe, which will take them through the national parks and highlands of Zimbabwe to the magnificent Victoria Falls.

Trip plan:

1 Harare

Upon arrival in Harare and passing border control, guests are greeted by our guide. Guests can spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Harare. And in your free time, eat dinner.

1 - 2 Armdale Boutique Lodge

Guests will spend their first night at the luxurious Armadale Boutique Lodge in the Garden Cottage. Breakfast will be served in the morning. Built in 1904 as a working farm, Armadale has retained its original atmosphere. This beautiful house has been recently restored and equipped with all modern amenities. It offers 9 apartments with access to the historic garden and swimming pool. Its atmosphere makes guests feel at home, and the garden is a paradise for birds.

2 Nyanga National Park

Guests will depart Harare for Nyanga in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe for a full-day trek*. The highlight of the day is a visit to Nyangombe Falls and the Worldsview Viewpoint. At the next stop, guests will reach Nyangombe Falls after a short walk. They will arrive at the Inn on Rupurara just before sunset. Nyanga Park lies north of Zimbabwe's Eastern Highlands. It was one of the first national parks established in Zimbabwe and is the largest national park in the country.

2 - 3 Troutbeck Resort

Guests will spend 1 night at the exclusive Troutbeck Resort. Each room has a bathroom. In addition to accommodation, the offer includes dinner and breakfast. Zimbabwe's highest peak, Mount Nyangani, provides a stunning backdrop to the hillside resort. Scenery more reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands than subtropical Zimbabwe, welcomes visitors to this unique part of the country and offers respite for those looking to escape the summer heat of the Highveld. The open fire in the hotel foyer has been burning since the property opened 45 years ago and is a physical embodiment of the warmth of welcome enjoyed by all who arrive.

3 Mutare

Full-day tour of the Honde Valley to Mutare and Mutarazi Falls. The Honde Valley stretches from Zimbabwe's eastern border into Mozambique. It is part of the Eastern Zimbabwe Highlands mountain range. Mount Nyangani and Nyanga Park form the western boundary of the valley. Until recently, Mutarazi Falls was considered the 5th highest waterfall in the world. The longer of the two sections falls from over 2 m high. Mutare is the 479th largest city in Zimbabwe. Christmas Pass leads to the city from the west. The pass was named so by explorers camping at its foot on Christmas Day 4. Mutare is home to the Mutare Museum, the House of Utopia Museum and the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. Murahwa Hill is famous for its cave paintings and Iron Age village. It is also worth visiting the Cecil Kopje Game Reserve*.

4 - 5 Musangano Lodge

Guests will spend the next 2 nights at the exclusive Musangano Lodge hotel. Your stay here includes dinner and breakfast. Musangano Lodge is a great base from which to explore the attractions of the Eastern Zambezi Highlands, such as the Vumba Mountains, Nyanga Park and the Honde Valley. Tastefully furnished apartments are scattered far apart on the slopes of a tree-covered hill. There are nature trails and a swimming pool on site. In the area, it is worth visiting the Chikundu Wildlife Park.

4 Zimbabwe Eastern Highlands

Guests will spend the day exploring Nyanga, Vumba and other areas of Zimbabwe's Eastern Highlands. On the route, on Bvumba road, there is also a mandatory stop - Tony's Coffee Shop. Tony serves cakes, coffee and tea. The quality is simply incredible and the desserts are served in a beautiful garden house*. In the late afternoon, guests return to Musangano for the night.

5 Great Zimbabwe

After breakfast, guests will go to Masvingo, and in the afternoon they will visit the ruins of Great Zimbabwe (also known as the House of Stones). No stay in Zimbabwe is complete without a visit to Great Zimbabwe, the ancient capital of the land of King Munhumutapa. It was built between 1250 and 1450, of regular rectangular granite blocks, skillfully placed on top of each other without the use of mortar. This place is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is a unique historical, cultural and archaeological monument. Guests will spend 1 night at the luxurious Lakeview Resort in NormeJeane. The offer includes lunch and breakfast.

6 arks National Matobo

Guests will travel to Bulawayo. Upon arrival, it is worth taking a short walk to the national gallery or museum. From there they will go to Matobo National Park. This park protects the core of the Matobo Hills, an area of ​​granite castle domes and forested valleys south of Bulawayo. The Matobo Hills have been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List because they contain the largest concentration of rock paintings in southern Africa. The seemingly gravity-defying boulders scattered throughout the area created a unique and mysterious landscape.

6 - 8 Amalinda Lodge

Guests will spend the next 2 nights at Amalinda Lodge. The offer includes full board and local drinks, wildlife viewing and a visit to the tomb of Cecil Rhodes. Park entry fees are $15 per person. per day and are not included in the price. The entrance fee to Cecil Rhodes' Tomb is $10 per person. and is not included in the price. Amalinda consists of nine individually thatched rooms, including 2 honeymoon suites, which are set between huge boulders. The lounge and common area is located in a former bushmen shelter, with stunning views of the Matobo Hills. You can go here to observe white and black rhinos. Nearby, in the Matobo caves, there are rock paintings of the Bushmen, also known as the San.

8 Matobo – Hwange National Park

8 - 10 Khulu Bush Camp in Hwange National Park

The penultimate base for guests is the exclusive Khulu Bush Camp. The offer includes full board and local drinks. The price also includes various activities and laundry facilities. 10 - 12 Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

Guests will spend 2 nights at the exclusive Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. The price includes breakfast and a drum show combined with lunch at Boma Restaurant. In the late afternoon, guests will sail out to admire the sunset on the Zambezi River. From the water you can spot elephants, giraffes and even rhinos descending into the river. There are also plenty of hippos, crocodiles and birds. In the evening, after returning from the cruise, guests will once again visit Boma - "the place where you eat". Boma is a unique cultural experience that bombards your senses with the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of Africa. It specializes in an excellent selection of traditional Zimbabwean dishes.
