Old Drift Lodge

Only 7 km - that's how far guests will be from the majestic Victoria Falls if they decide to spend their holidays in Zimbabwe at the luxurious Old Drift Lodge hotel located on the bank of the Zambezi River. There will be time, among other things, for a swim in the famous natural pools at Livingstone's Island, located on the edge of thundering giants. The hotel's location also allows you to organize a trip to Chobe National Park, which boasts numerous herds of elephants that visit the river that flows there every day. Interestingly, the Old Drift Lodge was built on the site of the historic town center of Victoria Falls

While staying at the Old Drift Lodge, one of Zimbabwe's finest, guests can embark on morning and afternoon game drives or explore the complex ecosystem of the Zambezi River on boat cruises. Professional guides will also be happy to go on hiking tours, which will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the bush.

Additional attractions have also been prepared for guests looking for adventure. You can go to the rope park, which offers routes in one of the picturesque gorges. Extreme sports enthusiasts can go rafting on the cascades of the Zambezi River near the powerful waterfalls.

The facility is surrounded by bush, peacefully roamed by friendly herbivores: elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, kudus, impalas and kobas. In this unique environment, you can taste delicious dishes combining modern culinary techniques and local ingredients - you can try, for example, sad (traditional, local polenta) and chakalaka - a spicy one-pot dish. After a delicious dinner, guests return to luxurious apartments with terraces and private pools. Old Drift Lodge is an excellent choice for a tailor-made luxury holiday in Zimbabwe, whether you are planning a trip for two or for a family with children - the facility also offers apartments for families.

Importantly, the hotel is environmentally friendly. The so-called "gray water" is used to water plants, domestic water is heated with solar collectors, and the hotel owners work to raise awareness of nature conservation and the need to monitor the ecosystem.
