Safari in Botswana and Zimbabwe

Safaris in Botswana and Zimbabwe will take guests to the Moremi, Chobe and Hwange national parks - to the famous, extraordinary, world's largest inland delta of the Okavango River, which once flowed into Lake Makgadikgadi, located in the northern part of present-day Botswana, which dried up about 10 years ago. Currently, the Okavango irrigates the Kalahari Desert, and its delta is home to countless flocks of birds and other animals. Additionally, we will visit Victoria Falls and sail down the Zambezi River.

Trip plan:

1 - 3 Arrival in Botswana – Moremi National Park in the Okavango Delta

Upon arrival in Botswana at Maun Airport, guests will be greeted by the local local partner CARTER®. Then they will take a spectacular 25-minute plane flight to Camp Xakanaxa. They will spend 3 days here in cozy tents. The accommodation price includes full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner), local drinks and laundry service. A real African adventure awaits guests here - a ride in a Land Rover and a crossing on local boats. mokoro through the Xakanaxa Lagoon and Okavango River Wetlands. Additionally, during their stay at the Xakanaxa camp, guests will be able to admire the area during guided walks and day and night trips in off-road vehicles.

4 - 5 Savute (Chobe National Park)

30-minute plane ride from Xakanaxa to Savute. Guests will be accommodated at Savute Safari Lodge in luxurious suite rooms. The price includes full board, local drinks and laundry. During their stay in Chobe National Park, guests will have the opportunity to visit the Savute River channel, which has been affected by a 30-year drought. They will also go to the Tsodilo Hills (UNESCO World Heritage List), where there is the world's largest concentration of rock paintings created by the so-called Bushmen. Over 4500 paintings have been preserved here, providing chronological evidence of the lifestyle of primitive people and the changing natural conditions of the region over the period of at least 10 years. years. In the afternoons, we recommend a jeep safari to our guests.

6 - 7 Kasane

A 40-minute plane ride from Savute to Kasane, then transfer to Chobe Game Lodge. Guests will be accommodated in standard rooms with bathrooms. The price includes full board, local drinks and laundry. This time, guests will go on a safari in the northern part of Chobe National Park. They will have the opportunity to take a cruise on the Chobe River on a catamaran-style boat. From its deck you can observe the world's largest herds of elephants and lions. In the evening, you can observe the constellations in the clear African sky.

8 Arrival in Zimbabwe – cruise on the Zambezi River

Private transfer from Chobe Game Lodge to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Travel time will be approximately 2,5 hours. Guests will spend 2 nights in the picturesque scenery of the lodge. The accommodation price includes daily breakfasts, lunch at the Ma Kuwa-Kuwa restaurant and 2 dinners - at Ma Kuwa-Kuwa and The Boma. Dinner at the Ma Kuwa-Kuwa restaurant will certainly be an amazing experience. This restaurant was honored with the Bird & Birder Friendly award for its vulture protection program. This is a species of bird that is extremely important for the ecosystem and is threatened by a small amount of food. The restaurant feeds the vultures with daily leftovers, ensuring the species' survival. In the late afternoon, guests will be able to relax during a cruise on the Zambezi River, and at the same time take a photo of elephants, giraffes and even rhinos observed from the boat, while the animals enjoy a watering hole together. If you are lucky, you will also be able to see hippos, crocodiles and various birds. The cruise will take place in the company of an experienced guide who will be happy to share his knowledge about nature and local history so that no one misses anything. In the evening, transfer to the Boma restaurant for a multi-course dinner. This restaurant, located in the Gusu forest, is a unique cultural experience bombarding all the senses with the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of Africa. A sophisticated mix of traditional Zimbabwean dishes such as: Mopani worms and venison stew will satisfy the most demanding palates, and combined with the hospitality of Zimbabweans, the feast will be an adventure of sorts.

9 Victoria Falls

Departure from the center around 7.00, return around 14.30. This is a day for anyone who likes a bit of adrenaline. Rafting through the gorges below the waterfall is considered one of the best in the world due to the numerous rapids in the short section of the river. Fantastic landscapes, sun, warm water and speed will surely make this day memorable for our guests. On this day, there will also be a hike down the gorge, where fruit and snacks will be served. After lunch, another dose of emotions and amazing experiences await guests. A 12-minute helicopter flight to Victoria Falls will be organized from Victoria Falls Safari Lodge (additional fee applies). Flying among islands and waterfalls is a great opportunity to take amazing photos.

10 - 11 Hwange National Park

Private transfer from Victoria Falls Safari Lodge to the main gate of Hwange (distance approx. 190 km, travel time approx. 3 hours) and then to Hide Safari Camp. The journey to the camp through Hwange National Park takes just over an hour, and during it you can enjoy the beauty of nature. The luxurious Hide Safari Camp is designed in an East African style. Guests will spend 2 nights in a Deluxe tent. The price includes full board, local drinks and laundry. Situated next to the waterhole, the area is a great place for observation, as you can see many different animals in the immediate area - often including lions, elephants and rhinos. Hidden observation points near the waterhole will allow guests to experience unique experiences - observing animals very close, while remaining in a safe place. You will also be able to enjoy a variety of activities, such as morning and afternoon game drives, guided tours and night drives on The Hide's private property. Please remember to bring cash in USD (US Dollar) as there are no ATMs or withdrawal points at The Hide.

12 - 14 Northern part of Hwange National Park

An hour's drive to Hwange Nehimba Lodge, where guests will spend 3 nights in a luxurious, thatched-roof Chalet. The accommodation price includes full board, local drinks and laundry. Nehimba Lodge, located on a private estate in the northern part of Hwange National Park, is a combination of luxury, chic and African charm that will provide guests with a unique experience. They will have many opportunities to go on safari, both during the day and at night. Please remember to bring cash in USD as the lodge does not accept credit cards.

15 Departure from Zimbabwe

Transfer from Nehimba Lodge to the main gate of Hwange and then a 3-hour drive. transfer to Victoria Falls airport.
