Alaska, United States

Pure, raw, wild and enormous - Alaska stimulates basic instincts and a sense that the American writer, Jack London, described as "the call of the wild", i.e. "a call to return to wildness". Alaska is the largest state in the USA and is five times larger than Poland. Rugged mountain peaks and vast tundras are a paradise for lovers of open spaces.

Alaska is a land with hundreds of unusual attractions and off-the-beaten-track locations. It is a region characterized by natural beauty, mystical fjords and snow-covered peaks. It is worth knowing that as many as 17 of the 20 highest peaks in the United States lie in this area. We have been here for years and recommend private trips, luxury hotels and adventures in Alaska.

One of Alaska's greatest advantages is its inaccessibility. Nowhere else in the United States can you find mountains that are so wild that a traveler walking through them has a right to suspect that he or she is the first person to hike that mountain. Alaska's terrain is full of space and unexplored, and an interesting statistic shows that some national parks receive fewer visitors annually than the international space station.

There are few other places where locals, instead of going to the store to satisfy their daily needs, go hunting. Moreover, in Alaska, some vacationers are still planning gold-seeking expeditions, and local jokes say that wi-fi is an invention that has only been heard about in rumors here.

Due to the limited range of telephones and the lack of typical conveniences of civilization, this is a region where we can relax like in the old days. This means being active, fresh air and moving, not spending time scrolling through messages on your smartphone.

Alaska also has countless anecdotes to discover. For example, local law states that you can legally hunt bears here, but waking a bear from hibernation is punishable by a strict fine.

It is a paradise for photographers of wild nature and landscape, which changes dramatically here at any time of the year. When the snows begin to melt in summer, Alaska's three million lakes turn into animal gathering places. During the summer, the Alaskan sun does not set for three months. When it comes to the photos that travelers return with, the souvenir photos are dominated by wild animals and crystal glaciers, of which there are over a thousand in Alaska.

Interestingly, Alaska was sold to the United States in the mid-7th century for $XNUMX million. The public protested that the American government had spent too much money on an area of land that no one needed. Years later, it turned out to be one of the best investments in the history of the world, especially considering that a few years later gold deposits were discovered in Alaska.

One of the more original attractions in Alaska is a trip on a luxury train that travels through breathtaking landscapes. Such trains have a special observation platform allowing unobstructed views. Another attraction, private helicopter flights, allows you to reach the most secluded places, such as beautiful valleys, towering peaks or picturesque lakes, which could not be reached otherwise. On privately organized expeditions in Thrace, you can come face to face with a wild bear or kayak up to the rugged slopes of a massive glacier.
