Awasi Iguazu

The largest waterfalls in the world, Iguazu, are at your fingertips when staying at an exclusive lodge just a 20-minute trip away. This is a great option for nature lovers who want to experience luxury at the same time. During your stay in villas built on stilts on the bank of the Iguazú River with an area of 100 sq m they can use the services of a private guide and an off-road vehicle, which allows them to fully adapt the expedition plan to the guests' expectations. The luxurious lodge cooperates with famous naturalists, making the proposed trips unique.

During them you can see some of the 1000 endemic species of plants and animals, including some of the 400 species of birds living here, e.g. toucan, saltator, pied hawk, blue manakin, white-tailed dove and rusty trogon. You will also be able to observe orchids, various ferns, tapirs, capuchin monkeys and even a puma. While discovering the secrets of the national park, you can also immerse yourself in the interesting history of the region. These areas were discovered by the Spanish conquistador Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca, and in later years Jesuit missions appeared here to protect the local Guarani tribe.

The events taking place here became the basis for the film "The Mission" with Robert de Niro. You can visit the remains of Jesuit settlements, learn about the crafts of the inhabitants of these lands and visit crystal clear natural pools that can only be reached by boat. After a day of excursions, you can relax in your own swimming pool, listen to the sounds of the jungle, such as crickets and the red coati, from your private terrace, or enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant headed by the talented chef Aarón Castillo Tellería. His place serves delicious, richly flavored dishes cooked with seasonal ingredients from the rainforest and the garden next to the kitchen.
