Txai Itacare

Itacaré, Itacarezinho beach, Brazil

Hotel Itacaré is located 14º south of the equator, in that part of Bahia known as the Cocoa Coast. The weather here is sunny and pleasant all year round. Even on the hottest summer days from December to February, a tropical and refreshing breeze constantly blows from the sea.

Txai Itacaré is part of the exclusive Relais & Châteaux hotel group, so hospitality is taken very seriously. The philosophy of ensuring the guests' excellent well-being and the highest quality service is the basic ingredient of every day. The hotel was built on a 92-hectare coconut farm, next to Itacarezinho beach, which, like few others in the region, hugs rocky hills that hide charming beaches with fine sand over private bays, with water in shades of green and emerald. The water here has the perfect temperature all year round.

The hotel is located in the Atlantic rainforest, preserved from a former oceanfront coconut and cocoa farm and now protected in the Itacaré-Serra Grande Reserve. Our exclusive bungalows and residences are cozy, providing guests with privacy and maximum comfort. The restaurants offer light Bahian cuisine with local products served in carefully prepared dishes. Here in the kitchen we combine passion, regional ingredients and international culinary techniques. At the Txai Itacaré hotel, dishes gain unique flavors and aromas in two restaurants: Orixás and Praia. The hotel offers experienced guides who will take guests on trips around the region.

All ecotourism trips offered are conducted in such a way as to minimize their impact on nature. Guests can hike the trails along the Atlantic Rainforest beaches, explore Camamu Bay, or visit Villa Rosa Farm, which is a benchmark farm for growing, harvesting and processing cocoa. Txai Itacaré also offers children's activities to keep the youngest guests entertained, learning and developing. Children enjoy painting, arts and crafts using coconuts and clay, playing games and practicing tree climbing.
