Casa Galavanta

CARTER invites guests to a private estate located in a secluded place, in the mountains rising straight from the sea to an altitude of 5776 m above sea level. The estate is located at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level, surrounded by coffee plantations and impenetrable rainforests. The unique ecosystem is characterized by a large diversity of flora and fauna. The garden and terrace offer a wonderful view of the sea and mountains.

From November to March, the coffee harvest takes place here, and guests can participate in it. There are only 4 rooms in the hotel: 3 with large double beds and 1 with a single bed. Excellent dishes are prepared for guests, combining the flavors of Colombian and international cuisine, using local products, including: coffee, cocoa and honey. Herbs, fruits and vegetables come from the estate's garden, and guests can accompany the chef in picking avocados or tomatoes. This type of exclusive holiday will allow you to fully relax, because there is no Internet access in the area and the telephone signal is very weak. It is worth taking a trip in off-road vehicles to the village of the Wiwa tribe, which cultivates the traditions and beliefs of the Tairona people.

The nature expert will tell you about the animals living in the area, including: about over 20 endemic bird species, and will organize hiking trips, both shorter (1 to 3 hours) and longer (6 to 8 hours), to beautiful waterfalls. The hotel cooperates with photographers, guides and ornithologists who will facilitate observations. Thanks to a helicopter tour, you can see from a bird's eye view the archaeological site of Ciudad Perdida (Lost City), which was inhabited centuries ago by the Tairona, as well as the Tayrona National Park.
