Belmond Andean Explorer

Peru

The first luxury train with exclusive sleeper cabins in South America - Belmond Andean Explorer - travels through the majestic landscape of the Andes, along some of the highest railway routes in the world. On 1- or 2-night trips between Cusco, Lake Titicaca and Arequipa, guests will immerse themselves in the heart of the Andes to discover natural treasures, ancient kingdoms and dazzling cities. The hand-painted carriages feature exclusive interiors: fabulous wooden finishes, leather seats and bathrooms finished with local stone.

As if to deny the severity of the mountain landscape, each compartment invites guests to interiors that combine Peruvian accents, comfort and safety - including: air conditioning and a built-in oxygen system for additional comfort at high altitudes. Hand-woven fabrics and soft alpaca weaves encourage you to relax. The bathroom invites you to take a luxurious bath even at an altitude of 4000 m.

Guests can expect a unique culinary experience. In two dining cars - Llama and Muňa - they will try the full range of Peruvian flavors. Our menu was composed by the ambassador of the local cuisine, Diego Muñoz. His distinctive approach to regional classics draws abundant inspiration from the products of the Peruvian Andes.
