Dolphin – Sail the Amazon

We invite you to one of the most primeval, untouched regions in the world - the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve in Peru. Protecting nearly 21 km2 reserve is the thriving soul of the northern Amazon rainforest. On the one hand, it remains one of the most protected regions of biodiversity still existing in this region, and on the other - no other place in Peru offers the opportunity to have such a close encounter with some of the most elusive creatures and plants on Earth.

Imagine taking a boat ride along the green river banks in the morning to look for the loud, multi-colored macaws and sloths slowly waking up to start their day. When you return to the ship, a cool juice of local fruit awaits you. The next day, you immerse yourself in a lagoon so calm that it seems like a mirror reflecting the blue sky and the deep green of the jungle, where you are greeted by rare Amazonian dolphins (pink river dolphins). After bathing, your guide offers you a warm towel. What better way to end the day than fishing for Natterer's piranhas while the setting sun paints the sky with fire, followed by a 3-course, individually prepared gourmet meal, delicately prepared with ingredients sourced from the surrounding environment?

Such details were prepared by the unique crew of three luxurious Delfins riverboats, a project of Cruise the Amazon. Their itineraries have been carefully prepared to satisfy even the most demanding and experienced explorers looking for a boutique experience combined with authenticity and charm that one would not expect far from civilization. These luxurious ships fit harmoniously into the spectacular surroundings. Our guests will appreciate the unrestrained atmosphere on board, allowing them to get to know one of the most intriguing and authentic places in the world, surrounded by surroundings and with service meeting the highest global standards. And on a lazy afternoon or at night, when guests want to look at the millions of southern stars against the black sky, we invite them to the upper deck, where the soothing living space and bar provide unparalleled relaxation.

The essence of the Dolphins, Cruise the Amazon project is its commitment to harmoniously combine the rich rainforest ecosystem with the identity of this idea, and as a result you can feel how they permeate every aspect of both the ships and the way we operate. Collected leaves of Lepidocaryum palms, called irapay here, just like in indigenous people's homes, form waterproof roofs of our ships, and the lamps illuminating common rooms are made of giant arapay scales. The boats and apartments are made of excellent quality wood from the forests surrounding the reserve. The cosmetics and insect repellents provided to guests are custom-made from natural ingredients from the jungle.

When planning your trip, we suggest considering the differences between the low and high water seasons, as they significantly affect how you explore the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. The season in which we talk about low water levels lasts from June to October. It is ideal for travelers who prefer to wander through the rainforest, discovering its flora and fauna, as it allows for more trail walks on the jungle floor. The rest of the year is high water season, ideal for travelers who prefer to explore otherwise isolated corners of the reserve from the deck of a motorboat, as well as allowing for a more extensive exploration of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve by water.
