Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción

This exclusive hotel, which impresses with its location in the heart of the Amazon jungle, was recognized by "Condé Nast Traveler" magazine in 2017 as one of the best facilities in South America. It is located close to the interesting Tambopata National Reserve, where guests can see with their own eyes a wealth of animal and plant species on lakes, forests and wetlands.

This area, often referred to as the "lungs of the Earth", is inhabited by 590 species of birds (including toucans, macaws, tanagers and tyrants), as well as various exotic insects. Local guides will help you get to know the region and will tell you about, among others: about the great role of rainforests. It is worth going on a trip to the Madre de Dios River, exploring the surroundings on foot, and going rafting canoe.

Howler monkeys, Amazon arirans and caimans live on Lake Sandoval. The hotel management took care to build fauna observation stations so that the animals do not get scared. Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is located on the site of a former cocoa and rubber plantation (you can see their remains), in buildings that once belonged to the medical center of a Catholic mission.

The rainforest stretches around 819 ha. The hotel garden grows medicinal plants typical of the Amazon region. Guests live in cabin(houses with an area of 45 sq m) or in rooms (19 sq m) equipped with mosquito nets, overlooking the evergreen surroundings. The rooms have cotton bedding, hypoallergenic pillows and cotton bathrobes. The chef serves delicious dishes using organic products from local crops. Cooking classes are available for an additional fee.
