Inca Treasures & Lake Titicaca

The extraordinary history of the rise and fall of a great civilization - the Inca Empire - will open like a book full of stories and images to guests who will go with us on a luxurious expedition through the cities, mountains and deserts of Peru. From the mysterious pictograms of Nazca, the Sacred Valley of the Empire, through the Inca fortresses of Sacsayhuamán and Machu Picchu to the bustling cities of Peru - in comfortable conditions that only traveling with us guarantees.

Trip plan:

1 lime

Our representative will greet the guests at the airport and take them by private car to the Belmond Miraflores Park hotel, where they will stay for the next 3 nights. The beginning of the day is intended for rest after the journey. In the evening, we will organize a transfer for guests to dinner at the famous Astrid & Gaston restaurant (dinner paid on site).

2 lime

Enjoy a private tour of Lima. Guests will visit the most important points of the city, including Plaza Mayor, Casa Aliaga, the cathedral and the monastery of Santo Domingo - beautiful examples of Spanish colonial architecture. In the evening, transfer to a dance show and dinner at the Dama Juana restaurant (dinner paid on site).

3 lime

Continuation of the tour of Lima. Guests will see the Larco Herrera Museum, home to the world's largest private collection of pre-Columbian art, old ship fragments dating back several thousand years, and many other fascinating monuments. There are also beautiful gardens next to the museum, where it is worth taking a break for lunch.

4 Lima – Paracas

After breakfast, guests will be transferred to Paracas Bay (4-hour drive). Then transfer to the airport and fly in a rented plane over the famous Nazca drawings - visible only from above. Overnight in Paracas, at the Luxury Collection Hotel.

5 Paracas

After breakfast, a trip to Ballestas - small islands near Paracas, which are an extraordinary reserve. It is a unique place, with wonderful landscapes and lots of animal species. Guests will reach there by privately rented boat. In the afternoon, a trip to the Paracas Desert - one of the driest deserts in the world. Admiring the beautiful landscape will be combined with listening to stories about the history of this unique region.

6 Paracas – Lima

In the afternoon, return to Lima and overnight at the Belmond Miraflores Park hotel.

7 Lima – Sacred Valley

After breakfast, guests will be transferred by private car to Lima Airport for their flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to Sacred Valley and accommodation at Tambo del Inka, Luxury Collection Hotel for the next 3 nights. The Sacred Valley of the Incas, located in the Peruvian Andes, near the city of Cusco, was once the core of the Inca Empire. It was formed by the Urubamba River and its tributaries. In the valley there are a number of archaeological sites related to the Inca culture.

On this day, guests will visit the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman and the Living Museum of Awanakancha.

8 Sacred Valley

A visit to the famous Pisac market, known for local crafts and the best fresh products, was planned for this day. You can go for lunch at the local restaurant Hacienda Huayoccari, famous for its excellent cuisine. Then a visit to the beautiful town of Ollantaytambo and its most important archaeological sites. Ollantaytambo – is an Inca fortress strategically located in the northern part of the so-called Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of the best-preserved Inca settlements. The most famous building is the never completed Temple of the Sun. The views in this area are breathtaking.

9 Sacred Valley

After breakfast, visit the Inca ruins in Moray. Guests will then visit Maras, with its complex irrigation network that dates back to pre-Inca times. Lunch at Casa de Barro, where you can enjoy the best regional dishes. Then, guests will visit Small Sacred Valley Village, where they will learn stories about the lives of local residents hundreds of years ago. This place is off the beaten track, so you don't usually encounter tourists.

10 Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu

On this day, guests will be treated to one of the most extraordinary and luxurious journeys. From the Sacred Valley they will travel to Machu Picchu on the luxurious Belmond Hiram Bingham train, which offers the highest level of luxury - the best service and the most exquisite food. Slowly, the Sacred Valley will transform into lush, green landscapes of Andean villages. Upon arrival, visit Machu Picchu. Accommodation at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Machu Picchu (breakfast, lunch and dinner options) for 2 nights.

11 Machu Picchu

Guests will also spend this day in the Inca territories. The guide will propose a tour tailored to the guests' preferences. It can be an easy climb to Inti Punku, Sun Gate, or a slightly more difficult one, e.g. to Huayna Picchu or the peak of Machu Picchu, which offers the most beautiful views.

12 Machu Picchu – Cusco

Free time in the morning and afternoon. In the afternoon, transfer to Aguas Calientes, then travel by Hiram Bingham train to Poroy, from where guests will travel by private car to Cusco. Dinner on the train. Accommodation in Cusco, at the Palacio Nazarenas hotel, for the next 2 nights.

13 Cusco

Guests will visit one of the most beautiful cities in Peru - Cusco. They will start the tour from the Plaza de Armas in the city center, then visit, among others, a cathedral in the Renaissance style and Coricancha (Temple of the Sun). The program includes dinner at MAP Cafe (included in the price).

14 Cusco – Lake Titicaca

Welcome to the Andean Explorer train, which will take guests from Cusco to Lake Titicaca. Upon arrival in Puno, transfer to a wonderful hotel overlooking the lake. Guests will spend the next 4 nights at Titilaka Lodge (with full board).

15 - 17 Lake Titicaca

Free time to relax. Hotel Titilaka offers guests a very wide range of attractions. During your stay, private trips to Tinajani Canyon and Amantani Island are planned in the following days.

18 Lake Titicaca – Puno

After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to Puno airport for a flight to Lima, before a return flight to Europe or continuing your journey in neighboring Bolivia.
