Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef

North West Cape Peninsula, Australia

A unique camp created among the dunes of the Cape Range National Park in Western Australia with respect for local nature. The main attraction is the opportunity to see the Ningaloo Reef, which is inhabited by over 500 species of colorful fish and 250 species of coral. There are also whale sharks (can be seen during tours from April 1 to July 31), humpback whales (30000 of these migrating creatures pass the coast every year between June and November), killer whales, manta rays and dolphins. Therefore, it is a great place for snorkeling or kayaking. In the national park you can also see red kangaroos, rock lizards, echidnas, varanus (monsters) and 100 species of birds. The luxurious camp provides a unique opportunity to admire the starry sky and the view of the Milky Way, as there is no light pollution. It is also worth visiting the Mandu Mandu Gorge, with its beautiful limestone formations, or the Yardie Creek Gorge with an interesting ecosystem, i.e. flora and fauna adapted to the dry environment. Fishing enthusiasts can try their hand at the reef. This place is considered one of the best fishing spots in Western Australia. You can try to catch black, blue or striped marlin, Spanish mackerel, yellowfin caranx, dolphin, solandra and istiophorus (sailfish). It is worth trying fly fishing and catching an albula or a round smelt (this is the only place in Australia where both species are present). The accommodation and all facilities have been designed to have a minimum impact on the environment. This is an excellent choice for a holiday away from everyday life as there is no TV and no mobile or Wi-Fi signal on site. Exclusive tents are spacious and comfortable. They offer views of the surrounding bush, beach and reef. In the dining area, guests enjoy dishes prepared from local, seasonal products.
