Trips, holidays and holidays to Fiji with a travel agency

For most people who hear the word Fiji for the first time, they imagine the exoticism and paradise reality of this place. Fiji is a real pearl, located in the southwestern part of the Pacific Ocean, east of Vanuatu, west of Tonga and south of Tuvalu. The distance from Poland is almost 16 km. It is an island country consisting of 000 islands and 332 smaller islets of volcanic origin, surrounded by coral reefs.

It is in Fiji that you can fulfill your dream of being a civilized Robinson and settle in a hotel on a private island or in a traditional house covered with palm leaves. The excellent service and hospitality of local residents will make you feel special. Visits to Aboriginal villages are also organized especially for guests, where we can learn about their culture and traditions, including the famous dance on hot coal.

Active recreation enthusiasts can also dive, fish, surf or go on a luxury cruise around Fiji and its beautiful, unspoilt islands.

Fiji – how to get there from Poland?

Fiji is located approximately 2000 km from New Zealand and 2800 km from Australia. It is worth combining your stay on the island with visiting one of these countries. We can also fly to the airport in Nadi directly from Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Honolulu, San Francisco or Los Angeles.

What is the climate like in Fiji?

Due to its location, it has a tropical climate, which gives us two seasons: hot and very hot. The islands of the southern hemisphere never experience negative temperatures, and the coldest months are from May to November, but then there is much less rainfall. The hottest months are from December to April, so they reach quite high temperatures, which can exceed 30°C during the day.

When is the best time to go to Fiji?

It is worth knowing that the best time to visit New Zealand is also the worst time to stay in Fiji. It seems that it is impossible to combine them, but in our opinion, this is the best time to visit these two islands. There will be no heat and clear skies in Fiji, but this will provide the best weather for exploring the island and discovering nearby attractions.

The best time to visit Fiji or other islands in this region of the world is from May to October, when temperatures are moderate and rainfall is less frequent. Tropical cyclone season runs from November to April.

Fiji time & Bula!

When in Fiji, we must be aware that everywhere there is the so-called Fiji time. It is not the name of a time zone with an 11-hour difference to Polish time, but of a generally very relaxed, insular approach to time and dating people. When making an appointment with someone at a specific time, we must take into account that he may be late by up to an hour - this is normal in this area and we must accept it.

Bread roll! This is a word that we will hear dozens of times a day in every place during our stay in Fiji. Bula is not only a significant type of greeting - good morning, hello, but also a significant thank you, nice to see you, how are you, etc.

Exotic flavors and scents. What to eat in Fiji, what is worth trying and culinary trips to Fiji

One of the most popular vegetables in Fiji is cassava. We may associate it with crops in Brazil or India, but it is a great addition to any meal, which we can often find here.

A popular Fijian delicacy is Kokoda, which can easily be compared to Ceviche - a Peruvian salad with raw fish. The difference is that it is served in a coconut shell after marinating in coconut milk with onion and spices. The fish is marinated for at least eight hours and is most often served as an appetizer.

Another interesting dish is Lovo, a traditional dish that is baked on heated stones placed in a specially dug hole in the ground. Most often, meats such as pork, beef (although this is not so popular because Hindus do not eat it for religious reasons) and, of course, fish, are prepared in this way. The whole thing is covered with root vegetables.

Tapioca pudding with the addition of kiwi mousse or any fruit of your choice, e.g. coconut, banana or kiwi, is also extremely popular.

Tropical fruits of Fiji

In Fiji, we can find many places where exotic fruits ripen in the sun and we can easily pick them directly from the tree. Coconut palms are literally everywhere here and tempt us with juicy coconuts, which are a great source of protein, carbohydrates and fats. At local markets we can see various types of fruit, the names of which are often not remembered, but the interesting shape and smell are. Fruits such as pawpaw, guava, bananas and even oranges are delicious and have a completely different taste.

The happiest people in the world live in Fiji!

The inhabitants of the island live without rush, there is no pursuit of professional goals here, and they do not impose duties on themselves that could cause unnecessary stress. Fijians live spontaneously from day to day, are always very kind to each other and focus on good relationships with family and neighbors. Their culture and long-standing traditions passed down from generation to generation are a great topic for conversation and fun together to the sounds of drums and choir singing.

The inhabitants of this magical island also attach great importance to close contact with parents and grandparents, who are extremely appreciated and respected on the islands. Among the inhabitants of hidden villages in the forests and tropical forests, the opinion of the chief and the priest is also valued. In Fiji, residents relax on the shores of emerald waters, fishing in the ocean, collecting coconuts or making handicrafts from local materials, such as flies, coconut shells, etc.

In repeated studies, local residents declare that all their basic physiological, safety and social acceptance needs are met. Respect, love and friendship are the main values of every inhabitant of this wonderful island, and the surrounding nature and warm climate only strengthen the feeling of belonging to one's land. Therefore, the above factors make Fijians the happiest people in the world.

The biggest attractions in Fiji

One of the most interesting and popular attractions in Fiji is diving with sharks. The Shark Reef Marine Reserve is a place that cares for the population of these wonderful predators. Many species of sharks can be observed there - some of them in truly incredible numbers. Some of the shark species that can be found here are largely considered harmless, but there are also unpredictable and incredibly territorial specimens.

Diving in the Shark Reef Marine reserve takes place without a protective cage and at the same time in close proximity to sharks, which provides great emotions. The safety of divers is the main priority of the base operating in this area, which over the years of experience has developed a number of procedures aimed not only at providing unforgettable experiences, but also at maintaining basic safety rules.

Travelers most often visit the capital of Fiji - the city of Suva. Here you will find, among others: National Museum and national botanical garden with tropical plants. Fans of religious monuments should see the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temples. The most important monuments include the "Grand Pacific Hotel" from 1914, built in a classic Victorian style. Albert Park is a special place for the locals. Suffice it to mention that on October 9, 1970, it was here that the Fijian flag fluttered for the first time. But the green area, which was named after Prince Albert - the husband of Queen Victoria - is today also the place where rugby matches, so popular in the country, are organized. The colonial building of the Suva City Carnegie Library from 1909 also stands out in the panorama of Suva; it is one of the of the city's architectural gems.

Although Suva is the capital of Fiji, Fiji's main airport is located on the opposite side of the island, in Nadi.
The second largest island in Fiji is Vanua Levu. There is a main center for water sports, diving and coral reef exploration. The island of Ovalau offers a lot of history. On the island of Ovalau, it is worth visiting the old colonial capital of Fiji, the city of Levuka, and the village of Lovoni, located in the crater of an extinct volcano. Other historical sites also include the Sigatoka Sand Dunes, Koroyanite National Heritage Park near Nadi and Lautok;, Korotogo Settlement near Singatok, the "Garden of the Sleeping Giant" at Sabeto Hills. The central hill is Nadelaiovalau, towering almost half a kilometer above the water level. Visiting sugar cane and cocoa plantations are other attractions for visitors to the Fiji archipelago.
