Annandale

Private, luxurious villas located on a farm situated along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean on one side and surrounded by green hills on the other. Their interiors and architecture have won many awards. Estate with an area of over 1600 ha is home to 500 cattle and approximately 7000-14000 sheep. The buildings were built in the 80s and today they encourage relaxation in renovated, exclusive interiors. Each villa has a different atmosphere and offer. The main building has a swimming pool, tennis court and gym. The Scrubby Bay villa is located in a private bay and is surrounded by charming hills, in another bay there is the ultra-modern Seascape villa. The Shepherd's Cottage villa delights with a view of the ocean from the top of the hill. It is perfect for those looking for complete seclusion. Chefs work closely with gardeners and farm workers, thanks to which delicious dishes are prepared from the freshest ingredients. You can also participate in cooking classes and learn the secrets of New Zealand cuisine. Annandale offers original ways of spending time. It is worth taking a ride in an off-road vehicle around the estate, watching the work of shepherd dogs and visiting the rooms where sheep are sheared. You can explore the picturesque surroundings with a guide or on hiking and cycling trips. Beautiful views will delight you while walking along the 14 km long Pigeon Bay Walkway. Upon arrival, guests will receive a map of the property with information about trails and points of interest. You can explore the turquoise waters of Pigeon Bay by kayak or motorboat. They are inhabited by New Zealand ocean rays (Hector's dolphins), seals and little penguins. A 30-minute drive from the property is the town of Akaroa, founded by the French, located in the middle of an inactive volcano and right next to a picturesque bay.
