Bhutan – a real kingdom in the Himalayas. Luxury Travel in Bhutan.

If you are looking for something new, different and unusual when traveling, and you like to spend your time actively, Bhutan is a proposition tailored perfectly to your tastes. Dragon Kingdom, as the country's official name is, it covers a similar area as the Masovian Voivodeship. The landscape of Bhutan consists of mountain ranges cut by wide valleys and deep gorges, rocky passes, rhododendron forests and numerous streams and swift rivers rushing from snow-capped peaks. Water is called transparent gold in Bhutan due to its life-giving function as well as its importance in the agriculture-based economy. The number of tourists able to visit each year The Land of the Thundering Dragon is strictly regulated, thanks to which the phenomenon of mass tourism does not occur there. The culture and traditions of Bhutan are rooted in Buddhism, and it is a characteristic building of this country jong, i.e. a fortified monastery. Thanks to the isolation policy aimed at, among other things, protection of cultural heritage, Bhutan was almost completely unsusceptible to Western cultural influences, and still is to a large extent. It is also the only country in the world that has introduced the Gross National Happiness Index, which is intended to measure the quality of life of its citizens. On this wonderful note, we invite you to a luxurious trip to Bhutan.

Bhutan attractions

One of the symbols of the country is the Taktsang ("Tiger's Nest") monastery, located on a rock ledge, just above a several hundred-meter precipice. The three-hour trek to the monastery will cost us some effort, but the views admired from the trail will certainly make up for it.

Paro, where you must visit Rimpung Dzong, a monastery-fortress with a characteristic stone bridge suspended over the river.

Dochula Pass located halfway between Punakha and Thimphu. When visibility is good, you can admire the wonderful panorama of the Himalayas from there.

The aforementioned Punakha, whose dzong appears on many postcards from Bhutan.

Finally, we leave Thimphu. It is the largest city and the capital of the country, as well as the residence of the King of Bhutan. Thimphu is home to the National Folklore Museum, as well as one of the tallest Buddha statues in Asia, measuring over 50 meters. Thimphu is one of the most relaxed and peaceful capitals in the world, providing an interesting counterpoint to the chaotic and often overwhelming European metropolises of Asia.
