Amankora

You can experience the breathtaking beauty of Bhutan while staying in a complex of 5 lodges under the common name Amankora, located in valleys undiscovered by mass tourism. Guests have a unique opportunity to explore the urban and rural areas of the Himalayan kingdom and its mystical atmosphere.

Vast forests, mountainous landscapes and hospitable inhabitants await those who decide to visit the valleys of Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Phobjikha and Bumthang. For them, both short walks and full-day hiking trips along mountain trails are organized, during which you can see the local flora and fauna. Amankora Thimpu guests will go to the village of Dodedrak, where there is a temple from the 12th century. There will even be time for lunch with the monks. Amankora Paro suggests a trip to the remote Tiger's Nest (the trip may include a ride on horse or mule). It is a national treasure and the most important center of Buddhism in the country. Embarking on a journey from Amankora Punakha through rice fields and lush forests, you can reach the Giligang and Punakha Dzong temples. Nature lovers will be delighted with the Phobjikha Valley, which they will see during their stay in Amankora Gangtey.

A special advantage of Amankor Bumthang is its location close to Wangdicholing, the summer palace of the first two kings of Bhutan. It was built in 1857, monks currently live there and tourists are welcomed all year round. It is possible to prepare an expedition to all the above-mentioned places, which will provide you with all the rich heritage of Bhutan. Each object has its own style and mood.
