The Philippines is an archipelago of about 7100 islands located in Southeast Asia. The islands are divided into three main groups: northern Luzon with adjacent islands, the central Visayas group (comprising about 6 islands), and southern Mindanao with surrounding islands.
Each of the islands in the Philippines offers something unique. The most famous of them are: Boracay – with white sand and turquoise water, Palawan (El Nido, Coron) – with hidden lagoons, limestone cliffs and coral reefs and Siargao – which is a paradise for surfers.
The Philippines has three distinct seasons: Taginit, the local summer (March to May), Tagulan, the rainy season (June to November), and Tag Lamig, the cool “winter” (December to February). The best time to visit is in the Polish late autumn and spring, from November to April.
The average temperature is between 26°C and 30°C, which makes the Philippines an ideal holiday destination all year round. The locals are extremely hospitable and friendly, which further enhances the charm of this place.
The Philippines is the only country in Asia where the dominant religion is Christianity. Instead of Hindu, Buddhist or Muslim temples, you can admire churches, often with centuries of history and tradition.
Nature and the ocean are the main magnets that attract tourists from all over the world. The islands of the Philippines delight with the incomparable beauty of coral reefs and abundant marine life. The beaches on the islands often win the title of the most beautiful in the world.
The Philippines is one of the best destinations for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Here you can admire the coral reefs in Tubbataha Reefs, swim with whale sharks in Oslob (Cebu), explore underwater shipwrecks in Coron and enjoy exotic landscapes all year round. In the Philippines, you can visit the Banaue Rice Terraces, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mayon Volcano - with a perfectly symmetrical cone and Chocolate Hills on the island of Bohol.
Filipino cuisine is a fusion of Asian and Spanish influences. Try dishes like lechon, or roasted pig,
adobo – chicken or pork in garlic sauce and halo-halo – an ice cream dessert.
Luxury tourism in the Philippines is still in its infancy, but there are already a number of options available CARTER ® you can find beautiful boutique hotels hidden among palm groves, bathed in sunlight, perfect for an exclusive holiday in a paradise setting.
