Palace on Wheels

We invite guests on a fantastic journey on an extraordinary train, during which they will discover fairy-tale palaces, wild nature and golden beaches of southern India. The luxurious "Golden Chariot" train has a royal style. There are two restaurants on the train serving traditional and vegetarian dishes. There is also an elegant lounge, spa and gym. So sit back and relax while soaking up the exotic beauty of South India.

It is a real "Palace on Wheels", as the name suggests, introduced by the royal family in 1982. However, as new amenities were constantly added, such as air-conditioned carriages and additional lounges, the train began its first route in 1995 and remains extremely popular to this day. Palace on Wheels consists of 14 stylized carriages, which, in addition to comfortable suites, also include a bar, a library and a restaurant. It has been named one of the ten best luxury trains in the world.

The train begins in New Delhi, heading southwest to Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan. The next most important points on the route are: the beautiful city of lakes - Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur. The train then returns to Agra and passengers end this wonderful journey with a view of the Taj Mahal.

  • 2 Super Deluxe compartments - Diamond and Emerald with double beds, approx. 18 m²
