Holidays in Komodo

Komodo is a sparsely populated island located between Sumbawa and Flores, in the Lesser Sunda Archipelago. An endemic species of dragon lives on the island, commonly known as the Komodo dragon. This largest lizard in the world attracts visitors eager for adventure like a magnet. Komodo National Park was created to protect these endangered reptiles (PKA Balai Taman Nasional Komodo). Monitor lizards take about 5 years to reach 2 meters in length. Currently, it is estimated that only about 4500 individuals of this species live in the wild. Individual specimens can also be found on the island of Flores and other islands in the area. Some lizards can grow up to 3 meters and weigh 150 kilograms, but most of them reach about 2 meters and weigh 60 kilograms. On your trip to Indonesia, you cannot miss the opportunity to take part in an unforgettable trip to Komodo and see these impressive lizards with your own eyes.

Other important tourist attractions of Komodo are paradise, unpopulated beaches, deserted islets, crystal clear sea and diving, especially in the waters of the Lintah Strait. The waters around the islands are rich in intact reefs, corals, schools of colorful fish, manta rays, sea turtles, sharks, many species of dolphins and whales, and other underwater creatures. Holidays in Komodo are a guarantee of unforgettable experiences for every traveler!
