Amanemu

This luxury hotel in Ise-Shima National Park overlooks Ago Bay (also known as the Bay of Pearls). Its owners set themselves the goal of cultivating the centuries-old tradition of Japanese onsens (a type of bathhouse built around hot springs) and familiarizing guests with the culinary heritage of the region. In the hotel restaurant, guests can enjoy, among others: exceptional Matsusaka Wagyu beef and crayfish.

The suites and villas are characterized by elegant simplicity, each with its own onsen and a large terrace. The Kumano Kodo, a UNESCO-protected hiking trail for pilgrims seeking purification, runs nearby. They lead through mountainous and coastal areas, connecting sacred places visited for over 1000 years. Adjacent to the hotel is the Shinto Ise Jingū Shrine, where you can observe prayers and ceremonial dances. Ago Bay is a famous fishing spot for shellfish, algae and sea urchins. Women who dive without any equipment specialize in this. You can try sea delicacies in one of the local villages.

It is worth going fishing with an experienced angler to get ingredients for a delicious meal sashimi. Near the hotel there is the 18-hole Nemu golf course, which also boasts stunning views. Guests can enjoy relaxing treatments at the spa with an area of 2000 sq m, in the center of which there is a large onsen. The healing power of water relieves muscle, joint and neurological pain.
