Gayana Marine Resort

On the picturesque island of Gaya, on Malohom Bay, there is an extraordinary, exclusive hotel located on the water, famous for its luxurious services and supporting the protection of the marine environment. Right next to it is the headquarters of the Marine Ecology Research Center, which disseminates knowledge about the endangered giant clams and coral reefs. Gayana Marine Resort encourages guests to participate in various activities, such as coral farming, and learn more about marine animals such as seahorses and bamboo sharks. The classes allow you to play the role of a biologist and discover the secrets of, among others: phytoplankton breeding. Using the offer of a PADI-certified diving center and the help of instructors, you can learn the secrets of the depths inhabited by whale sharks, clownfish, turtles and other species.

The coastal waters are full of starfish, crabs and fish, making it worth snorkeling here. The island is covered with dense jungle, with designated trekking routes (the longest involves a four-hour trip to the hotel on the other side of the island). After numerous attractions, you can relax in luxurious villas that have terraces with sun loungers (Rainforest Villa) or terraces with direct access to the water (Ocean Villa and Palm Villa). You can enjoy seafood dishes at the Alu Alu restaurant, which supports sustainable aquaculture. Macac serves delicious fusion cuisine with Malay elements. The spa at Gayana Marine Resort offers stimulating and rejuvenating treatments using local plants and oils, as well as Kerstin Florian products.
