Amanwell

On the southern shore of the island, near the paradise beach, spread over almost 15 hectares covered with coconut palms, there are exclusive suites designed by the famous Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. The facility is close to the Yala and Udawalawe national parks, where leopards and elephants live. Guests at Amanwella Tangalle Sri Lanka are welcomed by the master potter B. Karunasena, who invites you to his workshop in the village of Palapotta, famous for its pottery.

There you can learn a lot about craftsmanship and try your hand at creating your own unique vessel. To the north of the hotel, on a rock that seems inaccessible, stands the Mulkirigala temple. Valuable materials enabling the translation of the sacred Sri Lankan text "Mahavamsa" were found there. Sri Lanka is famous for its tea plantations, which can be visited with a guide. Photographers will be interested in the lively market in Tangalla. It is worth taking a walk to Wella Wathuara, where you can see the everyday life of the inhabitants up close. The hotel's exclusive suites have a unique style: the roofs are covered with beautiful burnt tiles and the walls are made of hand-hewn stones. Ocean Suites offer beautiful views of the sea, beach and coconut trees.

The restaurant overlooks the bay and serves freshly caught fish delivered by fishermen. There are great conditions for snorkeling and surfing in the area. At the spa you can undergo Ayurvedic treatments, including: Abhyanga massage, which has a cleansing effect. Treatments are performed using natural cosmetics prepared from local plants.
