El Transcantábrico Clásico

The oldest tourist train in Spain: El Transcantábrico Clásico set off on its first journey in 1983, becoming a symbol of elegance and comfort from the very beginning. El Transcantábrico Clasico takes guests to the golden age of great rail travel, but does not forget about the comforts and services of the XNUMXst century. Carefully restored and decorated lounges and compartments present all their majesty on the winding tracks of northern Spain. Thanks to the first-class care of the crew, travelers will fully experience the inspiring atmosphere, rich culture and wonderful cuisine of Castile and León, the Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia. All this makes each journey of El Transcantábrico Clásico a real pleasure for the senses.

El Transcantabrico Clasico invites guests to elegant lounges from the 1920s, which allow them to immerse themselves in the extraordinary atmosphere of a more relaxed way of traveling at that time. The elegant dining car serves delicious a'la carte and buffet breakfasts every day, as well as delicious lunches and dinners prepared by our chef when provided on board. The waggon bar is open all the time - guests can sit comfortably here, enjoy a quiet drink and admire the passing landscapes. In addition, El Transcantabrico Clasico includes a Tea Room car, an observation car - Panorama Coach and a small nightclub - Entertainment Saloon - where lively entertainment is provided every evening until the early morning hours. The train also has a library with newspapers and magazines; as well as DVD rental.

To ensure guests have a good night's sleep, the train spends the nights parked at the station. The rooms have been designed for relaxation and unrestrained pleasure in a charming atmosphere where it is easy to make new friends. Many friendships have been forged over drinks aboard El Transcantabrico Clasico. After dinner, guests are invited to an evening full of entertainment. Every evening is a night party, with a variety of live performances. However, thanks to the size of the train, this will not affect the comfort of those travelers who prefer to retire to their compartment earlier. Travelers can also enjoy a quiet drink in one of the other lounges or take a stroll into town where the train spends the night.
