The charms of Magical Portugal

Portugal is the homeland of people who appreciate the charm of simple pleasures. While walking through the labyrinth of narrow streets on intricately arranged decorative sidewalks and admiring beautiful compositions made of ceramic azulejos tiles, you may unexpectedly come across lemon and orange trees or hear the wistful melody of fado echoing over the city.

Trip plan:

1 Lisbon

Arrive in Lisbon and transfer to The Oitavos hotel, located in Cascais, for 4 nights. The rest of the day is devoted to rest. We encourage you to take advantage of the hotel's excellent SPA or take a walk by the sea. For dinner, we recommend the excellent hotel restaurant Ipsylon Restaurant & Bar.

2 Lisbon

Full-day private tour of the Portuguese capital. We will start with a visit to Baixa (Lower Town) - a commercial and financial center. Then, guests will see the oldest and most characteristic district of Alfama, and after a lunch break they will visit the Castle of St. George and the former port district of Belém. The two most important monuments included on the UNESCO World Heritage List are the Jerónimos Monastery (serving as the Portuguese pantheon, Vasco da Gama himself was buried there) and the Tower of Belém. Then, transfer to a restaurant with fado music and a visit to the famous Oceanarium.

3 Sintra − Cascais

Full-day sightseeing around Lisbon. The road to Sintra leads through picturesque, mountainous areas, with the ocean visible in the distance. Guests will visit the Pena Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the old town with lots of shops and traditional confectioneries. After a break for lunch, drive to the westernmost point of Europe - Cabo da Roca, and then along the coast to Cascais, once a fishing village, today a famous resort. Guests will arrive in Estoril, where they will stroll through the gardens of Casino Estoril, the largest casino in Europe. After the tour, transfer to a selected restaurant in Cascais or return to the hotel.

4 Lisbon

Half-day trip to the southern areas of Lisbon. In the famous dairy, guests will learn about production methods and taste the excellent Azeitao cheese. They will also visit workshops producing famous ceramic tiles and have the opportunity to decorate a tile themselves. Then, at the José Maria da Fonseca winery, they will taste wonderful red wines. Free time in the afternoon.

5 Lisbon − Porto

On the way to Porto, short stops in Obidos and Nazare. Obidos is a charming medieval town, still surrounded by walls, with beautiful whitewashed houses with colorful finishes. In Nazare, one of the most famous fishing villages in Portugal. guests will eat a wonderful meal of fresh fish and seafood. Upon arrival in Porto, check-in at The Yeatman Hotel.

6 Porto and Guimaraes

In Porto, guests will visit the Church of St. Francis, the Stock Exchange Palace and the Ferreira winery, where they will learn the secret of the production and storage of the world's highly valued drink, and will also take part in its tasting. Then free time for lunch and a visit to Guimarães, full of monuments.

7 port

Full-day trip to the Douro Valley - one of the most beautiful places in Portugal, with gentle hills, beautiful vineyards on the slopes and, of course, great wine. Upon arrival in inhão, guests will take a cruise on the Douro River (private cruise at an additional cost). Later, they will visit the most famous producers of Port and Douro wines - Quinta de Marrocos. After a walk around the vineyard, they will be invited to a picnic. The next point will be a visit to the winery and, of course, tasting.

8 port

Day off in Porto. We recommend several interesting places, including: Santa Catarina Street - the most famous promenade in Porto, Mercado do Bolhão - a market where you can buy many typical Portuguese products, but also feel the atmosphere of the city. Majestic Café is the most famous café in Porto, worth visiting for a tasty coffee, but also to admire its architecture. In the past, it was a meeting place for artists and writers. It was voted one of the 10 most beautiful cafes in the world! In turn, Livraria Lello is one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, built in the XNUMXth century in the neo-Gothic style.

9 Porto − Madeira

Transfer to Porto airport and flight to Madeira. After arrival, private transfer from the airport to the hotel, the rest of the day is devoted to rest.

10 Madeira: Porto Moniz

Full-day private tour of Western Madeira (Porto Moniz). Guests will visit, among others: the city of Câmara de Lobos, Cabo Girão - one of the highest cliffs in Europe (589 m). The next points are Serra de Água, Encumeada, Laurisilva forest and a cruise to Porto Moniz, where guests will have lunch (lunch at their own expense). Return to the hotel.

11 Wood

Half-day Funchal city tour. It will start at the Lavradores market, where you can find just about everything, from flowers to vegetables, fruits and various species of fish. Guests will also visit the historic city center and the Church of Our Lady of Monte, where you can take a cable car (option for an additional fee). Free time in the afternoon.

12 - 13 Madeira

Days intended for relaxation and use of hotel facilities.

14 Wood

Full-day trip to the dolphin observatory and Nun's Valley. Guests will have the opportunity to observe dolphins and whales in the company of a marine biologist. The observation takes place in two stages: on land - from an observation point, and from ships adapted for this purpose. Those interested can also swim with dolphins! After the tour, the driver will take guests to the hotel to change. In the afternoon, they will go with a guide to Eira do Serrado, from where there is a beautiful view of the Nun's Valley. This place is also known for its excellent cherry liqueur and chestnut cake.

15 Madeira − Lisbon

Transfer to the airport and return to Poland. The price of the event depends on the number of participants, departure date and hotel availability.
