FORESTIS

FORESTIS is located among alpine forests, on the southern slope of Mount Plose in the sunny Alps. The history of the hotel dates back to 1912, when scientists were commissioned to conduct environmental research in the place where it is now located. Excellent conditions: extremely clean water, fresh mountain air and a mild climate prompted the Italian government to establish an anti-tuberculosis sanatorium in the Dolomites. It was built, following doctors' instructions, by architect Otto Wagner. Today's hotel is located at an altitude of 1800 m above sea level in a sheltered, sunny spot on the southern slope of Mount Plose in South Tyrol, directly opposite the impressive Dolomite massifs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A wide range of treatments developed by qualified experts is based on the health properties of coniferous trees, stones and wood.

The architecture of FORESTIS is inspired by the same advantages of the surroundings that once determined the creation of the sanatorium. Water, air, sun and climate are reflected here in equally natural materials. Wood and stone were used to finish the rooms and apartments, and they are decorated in a minimalist style. In summer, the hotel offers guests sleeping under the starry sky, and in winter it is a great place for skiing fun. During their stay, guests can use four types of saunas, including herbal, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as Celtic yoga classes. The luxurious Forestis is the best hotel for a ski holiday in Italy in the Dolomites.
