Jamaica – the hot home of reggae

Jamaica attracts millions of tourists every year with its sandy beaches, beautiful landscapes and unique atmosphere. When Christopher Columbus arrived on its shores in 1494, he noted in his diary that it was the most beautiful island he had ever seen. He was fascinated primarily by the richness of the terrain: valleys, mountains, fields and picturesque plains. Modern trips to Jamaica provide a similar experience for today's explorers.

Holidays in Jamaica – the most important information

Jamaica is located in the Atlantic Ocean. It is the third largest island in the Caribbean Sea. Tourists from all over the world come here every year, and yet the place retains its pristine character. Travel involves a flight lasting several hours, so this destination is recommended primarily for longer holidays, at least one week.

Summer in Jamaica lasts all year round, and the air temperature reaches up to 30 degrees. It is true that there is a rainy season from the end of August to October, and May can surprise with violent storms, but it is worth visiting the island even in these months, because the multitude of attractions delights guests, and the rains themselves are not long-lasting. The best travel agency offers attractive ways of spending time: from cruises and trying local specialties, through visiting the capital, to playing golf.

Jamaica's greatest asset is its inhabitants - they are smiling and friendly people who speak English. Although they also have their own dialect, known as Jamaican or Patois, knowing English makes communication much easier for travelers. The currency used is the Jamaican dollar, but in most places you can also pay in US dollars or euros without any problems. However, it is worth remembering that money can only be exchanged on site: the import and export of Jamaican dollars is prohibited.

Where to go and what to see during a trip to Jamaica?

The biggest attractions in Jamaica are so diverse that everyone, regardless of expectations, will find the right form of recreation for themselves. Exclusive holidays would not be complete without blissful laziness on the white or black sands of the beaches of Montego Bay, Ocho Rios or the slightly quieter Port Antonio. Taking this opportunity, it is also worth visiting the nearby charming island of Lime Cay, associated with the pirate legend of buried treasure. The central part of the island is dominated by mountains: in the west, Don Figuerero, Santa Cruz and May Day, in the center the Dry Harbor range, and on the eastern side, the highest peak in Jamaica - Blue Mountain Peak. These are perfect areas for hiking.

The two main cities of Jamaica are the capital, Kingston, and Montego Bay, located in the north. In these towns and in Negril on the west coast, you can find the best hotels in the country. In the capital, it is worth seeing the Bob Marley Museum located in the musician's former home, as well as the National Gallery of Jamaica art museum. Less than 25 kilometers from Kingston there is the famous Port Royal, while diving enthusiasts are attracted by the underwater ships and buildings that sank and sank as a result of the 1692 earthquake.

By going on safari-style trips, you can get to know the flora and fauna of Jamaica - this is an interesting plan not only for holidays with children. Also interesting is the fact that the Black River is the natural habitat of crocodiles, and you can observe them closely by traveling in small, precisely guided boats.

Luxury vacation with a travel agency

Why is it worth going to Jamaica with a travel agency? There are two main reasons for this choice. The first is the availability of only proven accommodations and verified attractions. The second: tailor-made trips and journeys that, on the one hand, are tailored to individual expectations and, on the other hand, ensure high comfort of relaxation.

How much does a luxury vacation to Jamaica cost? The price is influenced by how you spend your time, the selection of attractions and additional trips. Customers who, after the first trip, decide to travel with the agency again CARTER, confirm that special moments are worth the price.
