Húsafell Hotel

In a quiet and picturesque valley, adjacent to endless mountain lava fields and the Langjökull glacier, lies Hotel Husafell. This unique property has been recognized and included in the National Geographic Unique Lodges of The World collection due to its contribution to the protection of local nature and environmental friendliness. Thanks to the construction of its own hydroelectric power plant on a nearby river and the use of geothermal waters, Hotel Husafell is fully self-sufficient in energy and heating, using 100% clean energy sources. The hotel itself also fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape, thanks to its simple and unobtrusive style. Guests can choose from four categories of rooms - Standard, Deluxe, Superior Deluxe and the largest Master Suite, offering an elegant living room and a bedroom. Their typical Icelandic décor is simple and minimalist, and their walls are decorated with works by the famous Icelandic artist, Páll Guðmundsson. There is also an elegant à la carte restaurant at guests' disposal, offering a wide selection of dishes, of which we especially recommend the 5-course tasting menu, which is a real feast for the palate. As befits Iceland, there are geothermal pools - the hotel has several swimming pools, a slide and a jacuzzi, which makes it a great choice for families with children. The most interesting hotel amenities include the Northern Lights notification system. Guests can turn on the service, thanks to which they will be automatically notified immediately when green midnight lights appear in the sky. In the immediate vicinity, Hotel Husafell has marked and prepared several trekking trails, mountain bike routes and established a 9-hole golf course. However, the biggest attraction of the region are trips to the nearby Langjökull glacier, where you can go on a ride in huge off-road buses, snowmobiles, take a guided walk or explore amazing ice caves. After such a tour, the icing on the cake will be relaxation in the natural hot springs, located among the nearby hills, exclusively for Husafell hotel guests.
