Trip plan:

1 Arrival in Reykjavík

From Keflavík Airport, guests will transfer to a luxury hotel in Reykjavík. After settling in, they will have the opportunity to discover the charms of the Icelandic capital on their own. Reykjavík is the northernmost capital in the world, attracting tourists from all over with its amazing atmosphere. Food lovers will be impressed by the numerous restaurants here, where award-winning chefs are passionate about creating delicious Icelandic cuisine. This cuisine is characterized by the inventive use of local ingredients, such as fresh seafood, organic lamb and game. In the city center, the attention of foodies is also worthy of an inconspicuous stand with hot dogs, considered by many to be the best in this part of the world!

2 Reykjavík – Akureyri – Waterfall of the Gods – Lake Mývatn

Early in the morning, guests will meet their guide and fly to the town of Akureyri, the capital of northern Iceland. This second largest metropolitan area in Iceland, after Reykjavík, is inhabited by only 17 people! After exploring the city, guests will go to Goðafoss, or Waterfall of the Gods, and then to Lake Mývatn. This area is known for its geological wonders and the opportunity to observe many species of birds. Guests will see many bizarre formations of hardened lava and craters, and will also visit the famous Dimmuborgir (Dark Castles), a labyrinth created by lava. In the evening, they will listen to a lecture on the Northern Lights, take a relaxing bath in the Mývatn Nature Baths geothermal swimming pool, and then go in search of the Northern Lights.

3 Mývatn – Námaskarð – Egilsstaðir

The day will start with a visit to the Bird Museum in Mývatn. Guests will then head to the Námaskarð geothermal swimming pool, home to many bubbling hot springs and solfatars. The further journey towards the eastern part of Iceland will lead through an almost lunar landscape. If you're lucky, guests may spot an arctic fox or reindeer. 4 Hallormsstaður – Eskifjörður – Fáskrúðsfjörður

At the Eyjafjallajökull Information Center, guests will learn what life is like near a glacier and an active volcano, whose sudden eruption in 2010 caused aviation paralysis in Europe. They will then go to the picturesque Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and after dinner they will watch a film presentation about the Northern Lights. However, as soon as darkness falls, guests will go in search of the northern lights. They will also be able to soak in the hotel's outdoor jacuzzi. Accommodation.
