The land of baobabs

We invite travelers on an 11-day escapade to the extraordinary Madagascar, whose nature, geology and culture are unique in every respect. From the Isolo National Park in the south, through the famous Avenue of the Baobabs and the rock spiers of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tsingy de Bemarha National Park, to the natural wealth of the Anjajavy Peninsula - Madagascar will enchant everyone who is lucky enough to set foot here.

Trip plan:

1 Warsaw – Antananarivo

Upon arrival at Antananarivo International Airport, guests will be transferred to Hotel Tamboho. One of the city's best hotels, the exclusive Tamboho hotel is characterized by simple design and incredible comfort. The hotel restaurant offers an original combination of classic dishes and local flavors.

2 Antananarivo – Isalo National Park

After breakfast, guests will take a short tour of Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, and then go to the airport. During a private charter flight to the southern part of Madagascar, they will have the opportunity to admire the vast landscape of the island. After landing in the small town of Ranohira, they will go to Isalo National Park - a huge plateau made of Jurassic sandstone, where nature has perfectly adapted to the dry climate. The massif illuminates with a phenomenal riot of colors at sunset. Guests will be accommodated in the exclusive Le Jardin du Roy hotel, which is made of granite stones and other local materials, such as rosewood, marble and Labrador. It has spacious rooms overlooking the forest and the river with monumental rocks in the background. There is a large swimming pool at guests' disposal. Although the rooms have a very simple decor, Le Jardin du Roy is one of the best hotels in Madagascar. Lunch will be served at the hotel. Guests will then have time to relax and unwind by the pool or choose optional activities such as horse riding or an exciting hike along the iron road, the so-called via ferrata. Dinner and overnight stay.

3 Isalo National Park

After breakfast, a short drive to the foot of the plateau of Isalo National Park. Once there, guests will go trekking among the amazing scenery of canyons and rocks. There are many endemic plant species in the park. You can see here, among others, aloe, spurge, pachypodium (Madagascar palm) and kalanchoe (viviparous). Lunch will be served as a picnic in the forest of tapia trees. While walking along the peaks of the plateau, guests will be able to admire stunning views. They will then go to the hotel, where they will be served an aperitif during a wonderful sunset show.

4 Isalo-Morondava National Park

Free time in the morning, then transfer to the airport and flight to Morondava. During the flight, guests will have the opportunity to admire the Makay Massif. It covers almost 4000 square kilometers and is one of the last pristine areas on Earth. Arrival at the airport and transfer to the 4-star luxury hotel Palissandre Cote Ouest, located on a wide sandy beach. Exclusive bungalows with balconies are surrounded by a beautiful palm grove. After lunch at the hotel, guests will have time to relax on the beach or visit the fishing village of Betania. In the late afternoon they will be able to admire the famous Avenue of the Baobabs. These huge, ancient trees grow along the road, creating an amazing landscape, especially at sunset. Guests will be served a cocktail here before returning to the hotel for dinner.

5 Morondava – Bekopaka –Tsingy de Bemaraha

After breakfast, private charter flight to western Madagascar. Guests will fly over one of the most unique places on the island - the limestone massif of Tsingy de Bemaraha. Upon arrival at Amborodia Airport, guests will be greeted by a local representative of our exclusive travel agency and will proceed to the national park, where they will walk among the amazing limestone formations of the Tsingy de Bemaraha massif. This massif is a natural sanctuary inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and constitutes one of the most breathtaking landscapes of Madagascar. There are countless narrow gorges and corridors here, where you can meet many endemic species of animals and plants. Hanging bridges and hills offer wonderful views of the entire massif. A picnic lunch will be served in the park. In the late afternoon, guests will be transferred to the luxurious Soleil des Tsingy Resort, located on the highest hill in Bekopaka. The resort was built in 2013 and offers 9 bungalows in the middle of a 20-hectare park. The terrace offers wonderful views of the surrounding area. The exclusive bungalows are very spacious and feature king-size beds and wonderful bathrooms. The hotel restaurant offers a varied menu and hearty breakfasts.

6 Tsingy de Bemeraha

Breakfast at the hotel and then hike the breathtaking Tsingy Massif. In the afternoon, time to relax and admire the views.

7 Tsingy de Bemeraha – Anjajavy

After breakfast, private flight to Anjajava, with a short refueling break in Majunga (Mahajanga). The flight, lasting approximately 2,5 hours, will allow guests to see a large part of Madagascar from a bird's eye view. The Anjajavy Peninsula is located along the Mozambique Channel on the west coast of Madagascar. It is an exceptionally rich environment with diverse fauna and flora. After landing, guests will be transferred to the luxurious Anjajavy hotel, part of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux chain. The hotel has 25 exclusive rosewood villas overlooking the sea. Each of them has a large terrace, living room, breakfast corner and bedroom. The stairs lead to the recreation room on the first floor, which can be used as an office or an additional bedroom.

8 - 10 Anjajava

Free time. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy free and paid activities such as catamaran cruises, snorkeling, sea or mangrove kayaking, windsurfing, paddle surfing, forest walks, cave exploring, bird watching, water skiing, wakeboarding and fishing . They will also be able to go on a cruise to the beautiful Moramba Bay, where there is a strange rock formation emerging from the water.

11 Anjajavy – Antananarivo – departure

Around noon, transfer to the runway and flight to Antananarivo. Lunch in the capital and visit to the crafts market. You can buy here, among others: woven baskets, items decorated with marquetry, carved wood, metal toys, miniature cars and semi-precious stones. Transfer to the hotel, where guests will be able to freshen up before departure and have lunch. Then transfer to the airport and departure.
