Find out where Time + Tide Chongwe is located in Lower Zambezi National Park

Trips to Zambia aren't just about admiring the famous Victoria Falls—they also offer a wealth of other parks and journeys off the beaten track. Time + Tide Chongwe is a unique safari camp located in Zambia's Lower Zambezi National Park, at the confluence of the Chongwe River with the mighty Zambezi. Located in one of the most picturesque regions of the country, opposite Zimbabwe's Mana Pools Game Reserve, the lodge offers a completely different safari experience than the parks in the interior. Open spaces, rivers, islands, and rich riverside vegetation dominate the area, and the safari combines animal watching with water activities.

Time + Tide Chongwe consists of three distinct areas: Chongwe Camp, Chongwe Suites, and Chongwe House. This allows the camp to meet the needs of a wide range of guests – from couples seeking a romantic honeymoon in Zambia to families and groups of friends planning a comfortable safari with children in Africa.

Chongwe Camp, Suites and House – three versions of safari in Zambia

Chongwe Camp is the most classic part of the camp, offering eight safari tents nestled along the river. It's the perfect option for those who want to get close to nature and experience a traditional Zambian safari without sacrificing comfort. The tents feature private bathrooms and terraces overlooking the river, where elephants, hippos, and other wildlife are often spotted.

Chongwe Suites offers a more luxurious and spacious option. Two suites, offering a total of three bedrooms, are designed for maximum privacy and views of the Zambezi River. They are a popular choice for couples planning a honeymoon or romantic safari, as each suite offers ample space, elegant interiors, and a unique natural setting.

Chongwe House is a private safari villa, perfect for a family safari with children, a family getaway, or a stay with friends. The house features multiple bedrooms, a private pool, a dedicated staff, and a safari guide. Guests at Chongwe House enjoy complete privacy and a flexible daily schedule, especially important for family travel.
