Treasures of India 4 days/3 nights

Experience an exclusive adventure in the Golden Triangle of India.

During this unique trip aboard the luxurious Mahrajass' Express cruise train, guests can come into contact with what is most valuable in the heritage and beauty of India. The Golden Triangle journey will take guests on a fascinating journey to three of the most fascinating and culturally rich parts of the country. Guests visit a monument that is a symbol of everlasting love - the Taj Mahal; I will have the opportunity to observe the elusive tigers in Ranthambore and enjoy the spectacular royal heritage of Rajasthan in Jaipur.

Trip plan:

1 Delhi - Agra

Guests will receive a royal welcome at Safdarjung Railway Station, Delhi. After accommodation in luxurious compartments, Maharajas' Express sets off for Agra, and guests are treated to a delicious brunch served in the train's restaurants.

Guests begin a luxurious tour of India's golden triangle by visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra - the icon of love, a mausoleum dedicated to Queen Mumtaz Mahal, considered a wonder of the world. After the visit, they can return to the train or watch the "Mohabbat-e-Taj Show", which tells the romantic love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Or go to a spa in a 5-star hotel (as options). A delicious dinner will be served on board the train, and the train itself will stay overnight in Agra.

2 Agra - Ranthambore

Guests start the day with a delicious breakfast served at the two restaurants on board, Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal. After breakfast, we invite them to visit the Red Fort of Agra, built in 1565-1573 on the initiative of Akbar, who moved the capital of the Mongols to Agra. The massive outer walls, 20 m high, were made of red sandstone blocks. They were lined with white marble from the inside, and the more delicate (the most refined of all Indian forts) architecture of the interior of the fort was designed to show the power of the rulers. Alternatively - as an optional trip - guests can visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah mausoleum, popularly known as the "box of jewels", the prototype of the Taj Mahal.

After the tour, guests return to the train for lunch while the Maharajas' Express departs for Sawai Madhopur, from where guests will embark on a fascinating safari in Ranthambore National Park. The park was established on the former private hunting grounds of the rulers of Jaipur. Here, guests will have the opportunity to observe tigers lurking or resting, completely ignoring tourists and their cameras. Apart from them, there are many other species of mammals, birds and reptiles in the park. Apart from tigers, you can see here, among others: crocodiles, hyenas, leopards, foxes and jackals. After returning to the train, we invite guests to an Indian Evening, after which a delicious dinner will be served. Meanwhile, Maharajas' Express sets off towards the next destination on the route - the pink city of Jaipur.

3 Jaipur

After breakfast aboard the luxurious Maharajas' Express, guests can explore the Amber Fort in Jaipur or choose from optional activities such as:

  • spa in a 5-star hotel;
  • exclusive, private guided shopping;
  • a round of golf at the Rambagh Golf Club.

Amber Fort is known for its artistic elements of Hindu style. Its massive defensive walls rise above Lake Maota, which is the main source of water for the fort. Built of red sandstone and marble, the palace has four levels, each of which surrounds a separate courtyard. It consists of the Diwan-i-Aam (hall of public audiences), Diwan-i-Khas, (hall of private audiences), Sheesh Mahal (palace of mirrors) and Sukh Niwas, where the cool climate is artificially created by the wind blowing through the cascading waters inside the palace . The fort was the residence of the Rajput maharajas. At the entrance to the fort through the Ganesh gate is a temple dedicated to Shila Devi, the goddess of Chaitanya worship, which was given to Raja Man Singh as a reward for defeating the Raja of Jessore in 1604. Amber Fort along with Jaigarh Fort are located in the same Aravalli hill range, and are connected by an underground passage. Together they provided an escape route for members of the royal family, allowing them to escape to the more fortified Jaigarh fort if necessary. In 2013, Amber Fort along with five other forts in Rajasthan was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Then, guests will visit the magnificent City Palace and the Jantar Mantar observatory, which houses the world's largest stone sundial and astrolabe - it is the best-preserved complex among ancient Indian observatories. In 2010, it was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After the tour, guests return to the train, where lunch is served. Afterwards, they can relax in the luxury of their own compartment or go to the Jal Mahal Palace, built in the middle of Lake Man Segar, where they will have the opportunity to get to know Indian elephants better. They will be able to decorate the elephants with traditional paints, feed them or go for a ride on one of them in royal style. During the "Treasures of India" journey, guests will also have the opportunity to admire the beauty of Indian culture on the last evening, during a show of traditional Kalbelia dances. Afterwards, we will serve dinner to the guests, and Maharajas' Express will set off for Delhi - the last station of the golden triangle tour.
