Abama Golf Course is located near Los Gigantes, the famous cliff town located in the southwest of the island. Abama Golf is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. The golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros was opened in 2003 and is located on the top of the cliffs in the north-west of the island, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Even staying in one of the hotels in the south allows you to play, and driving to the Buenavista course from Costa Adeje will take less than an hour each way.
The fairways are well-maintained and wide, but it's not worth the risk because right behind them there are numerous rocks and tall grasses that have swallowed up more than one ball over the last 18 years. A short game and a precise second shot are important here, as many greens are surrounded by quite flat bunkers. The wind certainly takes its toll on all golfers here, the course is located very high and right next to the ocean, but it is worth playing here because of the stunning views - it is certainly one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Canary Islands. After the round, it is worth going to the tiny, charming town of Buenavista del Norte in the Daute Isla Baja region for an afternoon walk or tapas with a glass of good wine.
Maspalomas Golf Gran Canaria
Playing golf in Gran Canaria at the Maspalomas course is a must-see for all lovers of this sport. This is one of the most interesting, if not the most interesting, golf course in Gran Canaria, surrounded by the Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve. The course was designed in 1968 by Mackenzie Ross. Meloneras Golf
Meloneras Golf probably needs no introduction. It was here that the entire golfing Poland followed the actions of Adrian Meronek in the European Tour series, who finished t15 after the three-day tournament. This is definitely a challenging course for experienced players, designed by Ron Kirby. Some holes require a good tee shot because the fairways are cut by deep ravines. The Meloneras golf course is located right next to Maspalomas, so also in the south of the island. Some of the holes run along the water, as if connecting with the ocean. On the second nine, in addition to the ocean and beautiful nature, you can also admire the Pasito Blanco sports boat marina up close. Royal Golf Club of Las Palmas
Nowhere else, but Gran Canaria, is Spain's oldest golf course - Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas. Founded in 1891 and modernized in the late 20s, it is located in the northwest of the island.
