Exclusive access to unique polar bear viewing experiences is available both in summer and during the traditional fall season. In summer, the effectiveness of observing polar bears on land and sea is 100% - this is more than during the spectacular autumn. Nobody knows the Hudson Bay coast and surrounding regions like the Churchill Wild team - the result of over 100 years of experience in Arctic travel. These exclusive areas also provide an opportunity to meet other wildlife representatives, so you can observe Arctic beluga whales, caribou, wolves and Arctic birds. In addition, Churchill Wild offers gourmets the best northern cuisine in the Arctic, prepared by the best chefs, authors of the best-selling cookbook series "Blueberries and Polar Bears".

Churchill Wild manages 4 luxury eco-refuges, three of which are located in the heart of polar bear territory on the Hudson Bay coast in northern Manitoba, Canada. Our shelters are located directly on the migration routes of polar bears, which migrate along the shore in summer and wait for the bay to freeze in autumn. Two of our lodges, Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge and Seal River Heritage Lodge, have been recognized as members of the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World group.

Seal River Heritage Lodge is 60km north of Churchill. The flight takes approximately 30 minutes. The refuge is located deep in the heart of polar bear territory, ideally situated on the shores of Hudson Bay, near the mouth of the Seal River, where thousands of Arctic beluga whales gather each summer. This is where we organize our expeditions: "Birds, bears and beluga whales" in July and August, "Polar bear photo safari" in October and November and "Arctic safari" in September. The refuge allows for polar bear and wildlife viewing and offers spectacular views of Hudson Bay. Guests will also find marked nature trails, an observation tower and extensive panoramic windows. The Lodge stands in the center of a vast wilderness. There are only 8 log cabins here, which can accommodate a total of 16 people. The stunning glass-fronted dining room overlooks the estuary, so you can spot the bears while dining from your seat at the comfortable table. The food itself is also great, and the shelter uses local ingredients wherever possible.

Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge is located 250 miles southeast of Churchill on the Hudson Bay coast near the historic York Trading Post and provides excellent access to wildlife. Nanuk's main attraction is the polar bears - there are more of them here than probably anywhere else. This refuge's remoteness from human settlements gives guests unique access to one of the most pristine wilderness areas in the world. It is also strategically located in very close proximity to polar bear dens, which Manitoba conservation officials say at least outnumber, and perhaps even outnumber, those in Wapusk National Park. Inside the shelter there are 8 guest rooms with bathrooms and there are no other human settlements within a 150 km radius.

Just 30km and a 15-minute plane ride north of Churchill, on a narrow strip of land between Lake Dymond and Hudson Bay, the luxurious Dymond Lake Ecolodge has 8 double rooms. Thanks to small groups of up to 15 people, it maximizes the possibility of contact with wildlife, giving guests the opportunity to admire polar bears from various places: from one of the nature trails, the observation tower from the lodge or directly from the shelter's panoramic windows. A trip to Dymond Lake Ecolodge on our "Great Polar Bear Adventure" ensures guests will see these animals in a way unlike any tours organized from the city.

While all Church Wild lodges offer luxury by Arctic standards, their southernmost property, North Knife Lake Lodge, is by far the most luxurious. It is located about 200 km southwest of Churchill, deep in the taiga, which is home to wolves, moose, black bears, foxes and various species of birds. This shelter is an ideal place for those who want to experience their own adventure, which includes hiking, paddling, observing wildlife and the northern lights, and fishing - the surrounding rivers and lakes abound in pike, lake piling, American zander, whitefish and Arctic grayling. The luxurious lodge has 8 queen and twin rooms with private bathrooms and 2 private family suites that can accommodate 5 people each.

shelters provide guests with equipment for hiking in polar conditions - protective clothing, rubber boots, winter equipment (rented for a fee), and equipment for sea trips. We have sizes that should fit both children and adults, unless it is a small child or a really big man - over 192 cm tall or shoe size 46 and above. We ask such guests to bring their own clothes and shoes.

international flights and transport to Churchill;
visa and passport fees, if required;
luggage insurance and cancellation insurance;
alcoholic beverages (except those provided for special occasions);
personal expenses such as laundry and telephone calls;
tips for the staff.
Due to the need to fly to the shelter by a small plane, the weight of luggage is limited to 32 kg and the sum of its dimensions to 140 cm.
